Is OGK still the most sought after cut(s) on the boards? ?

What leads you to believe its "prolly" docs and not afghan face-off? Do you even know what they produce or have you just heard the name docs?

well i would hope it would be docs cuz i would think that would be the closest to the faceoff cut.. even closer then the afghan faceoff because the rd male is supposed to be almost pure og. unlike the afghan male. even if it was afghan faceoff, nobody should be calling it faceoff og unless it was faceoff og.

and yes i know what it produces i have docs og like i said, as well as facewreck haze and many others from rare dankness.

The "Legend" cut is the one that came from CALM. I was told years ago it was one of Orgnkid's OGs1's he distributed. Good herb. Same with XXX, Private Reserve, etc..

Thanks for the insight/backround on the Legend.
Orgnkid obviously knew keepers when he found them.
Didnt he come back online for like a day over at the farm then dissappear the next?
Itd be great if he was back.
Reptiles and all.

And great info on keeping your heirlooms jnstead of farming them out for others to keep going.... Shit gets fucked up. Bugs. Diseaese. Mismanagement of label practice. All sorts of bad shit.

If i wouldve learnt that lesson 3-4 years ago....

The OG Kushes havnt been around as long in the UK but there defo my favourites now. Loving the Bubba Kush, Purple kush, and about three different OG's. There super strong without the jittery edges loving smoking it at night then quite often wake up on sofa early hours wondering what happened. And the taste is deliscious. Yield is the only minor issue but who cares as it generally dosnt make it past my stash box.

In my opinion the most important factor in rooting Og is having a nice healthy mom and taking good sized cuts from them.

Right now I have a couple sfv moms rocking that are rooting up clones in the cloner super fast, like 6 days. Ghost however is a tough one to root in the cloner. Tk, I'm at like 30% success rate. That one is a bitch. It's all about finding what each strain likes and keeping them happy till they are rooted up.

And I disagree with Dr Dank on the point of using fat clones. Healthy for sure, though. I get the best results with thin lower shoots. YMMV.

no disagreeement, since I said "IME", meaning "In My Experience"...and IME I get much better root rate with large healthy OG cuttings with nice fat leaves and thick stems. That's "my" experience

oh, and that's Mr, not Dr ;)

A big factor in rooting difficult cuts is the firmness of the base of the cutting ("butter soft" to "woody"). Some root like willows but all the bitchy ones have a sweet spot.

i only light 2 t5 bulbs over the cloner if i light them at all. 4 bulbs would yellow everything fast.

Yep - my clone success rate is 10x better under less light. Less photosynthesis due to less light = less demand for nutrients = cuts with no roots, ie no way to get food, live much longer and healthier - the end result is better roots.

Its true, unrooted cuts only have a limited amount of carbohydrates to use before they're toast, sp we can't male em work too hard. A good callus from woundng the stem will do a fraction of the work of a root though and keep cuts alive for a bit.

This just happend witha a poison og cut I took. It callused and lived w/ no roots and I tranplanted and it ened up outgrowing one that rooted inthe plug

flash back memory....

a few years ago (when i was still in socal) I went to a NORML party at Bruce Margolin's house.
it was a pretty big party. there were people everywhere. And there was a ton of bud around being looked at and smoked.
i brought a oz of OG Kush with me to party with... and shared/smoked it all by the end of the night.

The next day i got a call from Dale Gieringer. We exchanged pleasantries and what not... and he told me "your medicine was the hit of the party last night".

there were more people at that party than you could shake a stick at hahahaha. Everyone was smoking. And the OG was the people's favorite.... if theres still doubters about how AWESOME real OG really is...

brother greyskull!
wut cut of og was this?
