LyryC, How far is your light from your plants? It looks to me like theyre stretching for the light. Im running 400 w and my plants are only 18 -20 inches from it. Im also on the 3rd leaf set but my nodes are much closer. Ill put up pics soon.

Oh and dont count that brown stemmed plant out yet, it may surprise you.

18 inches from the 600. They are all looking better and better. I just can't wait for the stems to support themselves. Just put my HPS in and switch lights from 12 on 5.5 off 1 on 5.5 off and repeat to 18/6. In 1 week I will switch to 16/8. 1 week after that I hope my seedlings are ready to flower because the lights are switching to 14/10 and everyone is getting bloom ferts. 1 week after that the initial 12/12 will take place. then every month the lights will go off for 2 hours longer.

Bad photo update

Bad photo update

I experimented with strange lighting schedules and decided to abandon them.
I only go 24 hrs until the seedlings seem established and then drop to 20/4 until theyre ready for the high intensity light. Once under that they go to 18/6.

Bad photo update (in alphabetical order):

ADs The fucked up runt is alive. It has a couple of tiny true leaves growing out and 1 twisted mangled mess of a leaf - it looks like a booger.

MMs and LC

SLH She looks like she might need a little extra N. Her nodes are tight as hell.

 Funny, that wasnt a double when I posted it. :dunno:

Anyway, its only been a couple of days but everything is starting to hit its stride under the MH.

The SLH was out of the starting gate as soon as it hit soil but it seems to have slowed down. My hope is that this is due to it being a long blooming pheno. My fear is that Ill have to mix separate nutes (weaker) for it.

Not that it would really be a problem. Ive got beans waiting that will need lighter feedings so I need the practice. I just dont want to fuck this 1 up in the process.

Picture update by the end of the weekend.

I figured that Id start with a quick rundown of the last week.

11-3 Bayer for citrus and veggies. It contains imidacloprid and that should keep the creepy-crawlies out of my dirt. The longest time it gives before safe consumption is 45 days. Ive got 10-11 weeks before I harvest anything. Also fed nutes.

11-5 water

11-7 water

11-8 7/9 plants topped

11-9 water

Today SLH topped. All but the booger runt has been topped, this 1 will remain untopped.

Tomorrow nutes

Howza bout some pics?

1st a quick group shot.

AD

AD booger runt - see that nasty leaf? Ewww

OK. Scroll down just a lil further...

You made it!

LC

MM - the fattest leafed plant. The leaflets are crowding each other big time.

SLH

There is some leaf damage as you may have noticed. Since there hasnt been an increase, Im contributing it to getting treated and eating their 1st full course meal. Of course, Ill keep my eye on them.

1 other thing I did was to have my exhaust fan come on for about 1 1/2 hours 3 times a 'day'. Its keeping my temps in check so far.

All in all, Id say Ive got some happy plants. :)

Beautiful plants wildgrow! They're really coming along. I particularly like the leaves on that SLH, she's just as pretty as advertised.

Keep it going ma' man!

Now that the plants are starting to show some phenotypical expressions, I figured that I oughta show more pics. I dont know if Im using the same models for the AD and MM. Eventually, youll get to see them all. I wont b assigning the plants #s until after they show sex.

But 1st the run-down:

11-12 1st trim of bottom branches, watered some thirsty ones

11-14 Nutes with guano topping - yum

Today Transplant (soon), water

Tomorrow Look at them

AD This seems to be a relatively typical structure. However there seems to be some height variance.

SLH

As stated, Im up-potting most tonight. Roots are starting down the sides of the pots but arent coiling yet. Seems like agood time to me to avoid any possible transplant shock.

Um, anything else of importance?

75* at night, 85* during the day

45-50% humidity

Ph Dunno. It stayed pretty steady between 6.2 and 6.8
through the last grow and I havent changed any of the variables
in this 1.

How many times do you top them?

Also around what week of veg to seedlings begin to show sex?

wildgrow

LyryC, Im only topping them once because Ill run out of smoke from my last grow before this 1 is done. I dont want to have to veg them longer than I already am; which, by the way, Ive decided to extend until mid December.

Ive only grown 1 strain so far that will show sex in veg - M.O.B. Make that 2 - had to cull 2 ADs for having balls - 18 hrs of light. I dont expect any of these to show sex until 10-14 days after I flip to 12/12. Once they do, Ill cull the males and clone the ladies.

Thanks for dropping back in.

Interesting shot of the SLH w/g, looks really compact, would have assumed it would be much taller.

Festi, welcome back. I would have thought the same thing. Ive transplanted and raised my light to about 20-24" above the tops, so Im hoping that stretches it some.

Perhaps its a extremely slow growing pheno? I wouldnt mind that 1 bit. I think that would belie a hazey influence - and thats alright in my book. :)

Unintended update and a couple of Surprises

Unintended update and a couple of Surprises

Potted everything up to 1 g. I didnt bring enough soil in to warm up, so I had to wait until this morning to do the last 2.

I thought Id share some root porn with you.

And now... the surprises!

2 ADs confirmed male. I found them while "looking at them". Im not having good luck with the AD, 5/7 males thus far.
Another of the ADs looks like its trying to push balls as well as 1 of the MMs.
At this point Im planning for the worst - too few ladies. Egad!
My plan is to clone the SLH and LC in a few days and put those under the Mh as soon as they root.
If I end up with more than my limit, Ill just give the extras away.

How are the sluts doing after transplant?

Sorry about the AD, I'd definitely holler back at the source with some unhappy feedback.

And you better save that SLH forever!!!

Do you have a veg and flower room or like me just have one room to work with? I ask cause if you could get perpetual going life will be grand!!!

LyryC, transplant went off without the slightest hiccup. No shock, chugging right along. A 3rd AD shown me his junk too. Only 1 of those left in the closet.
Ill pop the rest of the seeds in the spring and chuck em outside; if there are any ladies, Ill care for them. I will not wast my indoor space and time on these beans anymore.

I have a closet set up for seedlings and clones that I could veg in while the flower room is running, but I have a strict $100/ month electricity budget - and thats got to run the whole apartment.
Also, Ive got genetics that run anywhere from 8-24 weeks of flower. Im not interested in mono-cropping and I like both getting high and getting stoned.

Ill have a full, pic-heavy update tonight or tomorrow so drop on in to check it out.
