@ ALONE: That BC purpose really puts out some serious color! Always been interested in BC Purpsglad to see the product stands behind the name!

I still have about 100 seeds of these left. I found a pheno once that yielded two 1 oz colas after being topped. The side buds were giant too. I had the pics @the jardens cure but that place is history I guess.

Last year my plants had 7 days left to finish when the power went out for 7 days. It couldnt have been anymore perfect. I got so lucky and the plants got super sticky being in the dark for a week.
This year if it happens.....Im all done for. I have 12 SSSDH's, a C+ and a BST in mid-flower, 26 clones in veg, and 30 seedlings in veg. Praying for it to pass us without loosing power.

@ Alone: yea man im getting super excited now and the anticipation is building up day by day. walked into my place about 30 min or so and i noticed i could get a strong smell of strawberries ;) time for a new carbon filter.

@ITS: That pic is of KKSD (kksc x strawberry diesel)"strawberry Pheno" pollinated with Pre98Bubba x NL5/H male. From what ive seen with the P98BxNL5H is pure dank especially the #9 Pheno TB has found. So im hoping for serious flavors, terpen levels, and high. I have a female P98BxNL5H i just took cuts from thats going into flower as soon as there rooted so i will know how she smokes. The KKSD ive medicated on many of times and its just so damn good.

P98BxNL5H is an f1, which is why it is heterozygous, meaning it contains the dominant and recessive traits from both parents. It also has what is called "hybrid vigor" because it is an f1.

Crossing two heterozygous strains with more than 3 different traits is a crap shoot. You would need to develop a math equation to figure out the probability of getting the desired traits, and that is not possible if you haven't bred with them before and don't know what traits are dominant and which are recessive.

You might get lucky, don't get me wrong, but you are waaaaay better off finding 2 true breeding parent stock (homozygous) and making tons of F1 seed. Or just buying f1s because the size of the pool is key with artificial selection, especially when working with unstable polyhybrids...

A mutt of several purebreds is still a mutt, because you don't know what he will breed true for. If you cross two rottweilers you can bet your ass you won't get a white dog...

Shmalphy, plenty of stuff that's danker than anything in your garden was found via "crap shoot" seeds :2cents:

Big difference between trying to play e-breeder and making seeds from nice parents to pheno hunt...

If you're looking for a white dog and using rottweillers to get there you're doing it wrong.

The simple fact is you don't know what you have until you grow it out. Start culling stuff before you grow it and miss out on the best possible plant. Yeah, that sounds real intelligent. Use healthy plants, work with lines you're interested in exploring, and grow the damn things. There's no other way around it.

Hope this storm is like last years and much ado about nothing. Stay safe people.

That makes sense... for a breeder who grows thousands of plants... using the limited space in a small grow to explore vast gene pools is possibly not the most efficient use of resources IMO... YMMV

Chucking pollen doesn't qualify as breeding. Ignoring Mendel's laws and skipping the Punnet square is not a good place to start a breeding program either... Like I said, you might get lucky.. odds are stacked against you though...
