well the triple beam does double duty as a potential weapon . in an emergency you could beat someone to death with it. lol haven used mine in years

have had one for six years and its never failed me.. friend dropped it and it doesnt click closed anymore, but it still works perfect to the .0 best 13 bucks ive ever spent on accessories.

That said, I COULD get away with a cheap mailing/baking scale I am sure. But when I was running my business I didnt want to be inaccurate with my wares. No one likes that.

Back in the day, I used a small digi that had one decimal point (.0) but it got damaged and in a pinch I bought one that weighed accurate to hundredths of a gram ...and never looked back! The difference was the possibility of being 1/10th of a gram off compared to 1/100th of a gram off. And the accuracy is much better also. You have to handle them properly and need the correct calibration weight for it (usually 50 or 100 grams) and check it every once in a while if it seems off. Ebay has them. Even messing with medical mj this scale gave me peace of mind and I could over weigh a few hundredths and know my friend got exactly what they wanted and I didn't give much product/profit away or cheat anyone. You can weigh diamonds, gold or gunpowder on it also if need be. Remember .00 ... not .0
