Nothing Eventful little spots on a leave or two,, think they got too hot or a tad hungry. No need to worry they have a tough life for only a few more days till they hit 6x6x6 Rockwool blocks and a 400W Hortilux Super Blue.
i just finished up a critical kush grow. got one keeper out of the 4 i popped. two of the others were real good but shitty yield for being such big plants. like 1.5 a piece. another didnt even break one zip lol. but my keeper is solid and nice.
Hows the smoke ?
Hoping to get that incense like hashey flavor of the the Vanilla Kush I did,,, thinking back I remember running four and prolly one real beauty,, yield was indeed a little light. Haha so much so that I upgraded to a 600w digilux MH.
Last crop was a monster of a Sensi NL5 X Haze.
I supply a senior MS patient with it and she loved the Vanilla Kush !
you know you could just start them right out under the 400watt light from the first day. I mention this because its how I start mine, I think it gives them an extra little boost from the start.
Ganoderma - Thanks for the tip, I’ve never started then under the MH before but usually never waste time getting them moved. I only grow a limited number of plants with an extra or two seedlings for back up and this first week under the compact FL gives me a chance to meet the prospects and see who’s really trying,,Haha.
This is the first time I'm running the 6x6x6 blocks so I haven’t come up with a feed schedule yet I followed the directions for conditioning found in the videos on Grodan's website (http://grodan101.com) .
pH wise I run a 5.8 and let it swing up the GH Nova and Maxi nutes are pH buffered so its easy to manage and requires little adjustment other than getting your add to nutes or water @ proper pH (5.8). Right now after just transplanting the seedlings I'll only feed every other day for about 10 min,, these blocks hold a lot of nutes and I like most folks can tend to over water RW.
Interested in this myself . no hydrotron in this tray ?? i see ya used in the old system . never used rockwool of any kind so i'll be learning as I watch yer grow ... hope ya don't mind .
Enjoy I plan to update it regular.
The other system used 4in RW blocks on a bed of RW croutons just covered with Hydroton it produced a huge yield from my space.
I'm getting old and lazy if the results are even close to my Planter sys then this is the way I go from now on. I anticipate a great easy grow coming,,, so far I’m loving the 6in blocks and my new flood tray.
From a visual aspect I really like these plants. Barneys gets a lot of Bad Rap but two of my favorite strains I’ve ever grown were his and hope these don’t disappoint.
