I'm usually very anti-partner due to a couple bad experiences. And I was in your position... it made most sense to grow with somebody that had the space when I didn't. Both times was with someone I completely trusted, respected, liked to be around etc. One of which was actually a family member. But, in my experience there's always going to be a personality clash. I'm extremely easy to work and get along with... but, especially with the last grow... the biggest clash was me trying to do things right without cutting any corners, meanwhile my partner having a mindset to be as frugal as possible and make sacrifices just to save a buck. Obviously that had it's downfall in the long run.

But on that note, I voted attempt a peaceful dual. If you don't have anywhere to grow, and especially if you are risking losing your genetics... I saw give it a shot. Your best shot with a partner is to just make damn well sure you make a good judgement call... make sure everything is out in the open and on the table as far as a plan and how the work, the harvest, and the expenses is getting divided.

I do tend to forget that not everybody is legal... if this wouldn't be a medical grow... well that is hard advice for me to give. IMO that's twice the security risk.

You could always wait it out until you have all the means of your own, while saving your genetics. Depending on how many mothers you would have... you could cut a clone of each and go bonsai. You can keep them very small, and in very small pots with the right amount of maintenance. You could keep all your mothers in a very small, secret location.

Anyway like yourself I'm generous with the gals, and I had a former partner that would unplug AC wen I wasn't around, to save a buck. Well, no money saved there...just weakening environment, making way for pests, and reduced yield and potency.

I never kept a mom, jus clone the clone...wen time is up I grab a wet paper towel, get some Unrooted cuttings, then roam free into the night!

Im originally from NY... and I tell you what.... when I moved to the PNW I never looked back although I know a lot of the natives here don't think the most of us damn yankees.

Have you exhausted all ideas to figure out a way to grow alone...? be creative.... it may take some $$$ but in the long run it'd be for the best. If not, take a chance but be extremely cautious. Good luck to you.

I have been growing with a partner for the last 5 years straight. Definitely takes the right relationship. A lot of the time I feel like it's a waste, but sometimes I'm glad to have someone there in case I want to travel or just get busy. Our agreement is that they pay equal part and mostly stay out of the way (after they messed some stuff up). it's a friend, so I don't mind that they benefit from it and maybe have it a little easier than me. I mostly just view splitting the harvest as a tax, and it is what it is. peaces.

But it might be best for you to hold on to those genetics, or find a way to not lose them that doesn;t involve "partnering"...
