Anybody Else Love Sriracha?

ooooooh the rooster sauce!
I love love love the fuck out of this stuff. Best hot sauce there is.
Good to know about not needing refrigeration. Makes me feel a bit less guilty about the neglect.
I do hate how fucking shitty the screw cap is. Almost wrote the company a Larry David letter.

I know people who call that cock sauce... It's good, but I like the Garlic Pepper sauce that same company makes better. It will burn your face off, but you can eat it out of the spoon by itself it's so tasty!

this restaurant I worked at in HS was the first place I had seen this stuff around, like 7-8 years ago. They used it for this fried calamari dish and it was fuego

I just started seeing this stuff everywhere... Even in TV shows someone will open the fridge and there it is. You can't mistake that green top! My wife abhors the smell, though... I think it's delicious!

Love. It. But I can't eat as much as I used to.

Who mentioned Cholula? That stuff is the SHIT! I could chug it from the bottle.

We always have it in my house. I love the stuff, but my wife is addicted. It goes on everything, eggs in the morning, snacks, sammies, EVERYTHING !! Even my 5yr old daughter puts it on pretzels before she eats them. Oh goes well mixed with cheap vodka too :wahey:

They got a cookbook too LINK

I take a tablespoon of it and let it sit in my mouth for a minute when I'm congested. Clears me right up. The heat doesn't bother me, and in perspective, it isn't that hot.

By comparison, this years jalapeno crop puts sri racha on par with ketchup. Easily the hottest I've ever had.

I had sri racha just now in my breakfast. :)

That Sambal chili paste is good stuff for sure. Cholula works too.

Sriracha and Cholula are both great condiments. Although Cholula has gotten more expensive over the years.

But for me one stands above the rest, and it's Thai. I love most things Thai...

This is the tastiest sauce that goes great with rice, chicken, fish, eggs, spring rolls (often served with rolls in Thai restaurants), calamari, noodles, many Chinese dishes, etc.

Best use is on Fresh Fish, fried Thai style in a huge wok, preceded by '70s vintage Thai Stick if you still got some... :D

It is more sweet than hot, so you can eat lots more of it... Main ingredients are red chilis, garlic and sugar (and not much else).

Other brands of Thai sweet chili sauce pale in comparison (and usually provoke heartburn).

And if you love Thai curry, this is a must unless you have all the raw ingredients on hand...and don't forget the Coconut milk!

And as long as we're talking Thai here, another must have, esp. for Drunken noodles and Chinese dishes like Kung Pao, Oyster Sauce!

Fire up that Wok!

I'm glad to see so many people agree with me! If you agree with my wife that's ok too haha
Try dipping your pizza in it!! I also put it in my wifes ziti the other day.. gave it a kick in the ass :)

I picked up the Sambal the other day thinking it was chunky sriracha but it's not sweet!
I like to eat in on cheese crackers though

I keep a giant bottle on hand at all times. Pizza, fish tacos, mix with mayo for turkey sandwiches, eggs, stir fry, pretty much anything.
