For the gel I've been using the dutch masters replacitaor I havnt one wilt over yet... with the clonex I usualy allway have to use a tooth pick to prop them up for day or two till they can support them self... and u get 2 full ounces insted of 15 ml... I belive I payed 11 dolars for mine and the clone ex is 6... plus the dutch says its a cut stem sealent (meaning it sucks the air bubble out so no need to cut under water) and micro climate stabilizer.. what ever the hell that mean.... anyway way better deal on the gel if that's ur preffrence I've read alota guy using a rooting powder from home depot that waorks awsome too and only like 4 bucks... but I like to stick with what I know...lol hope it gave u few options that'll help out....

the reason your cuts flop over is because you keep them out of water too long. you need to cut dip then stick in rockwool/ substrate quick then spray. if you are not quick do this:

mist stray the plant good. cut dip and implant in substrate, then mist spray again. that will stop the clone losing water while you are dealing with it. it wont wilt at all.

when they wilt it adds a few days to rooting time ive noticed. the air bubble thing is a myth.

Idk ive allways made my diagonal cut underwater and instantly to gel then plug and good mist of advanced b52 then in to the clone dome with water just under the trenchs line as not to contact the plug at all just keep the rh up super high.. And for some reason at least one or two would end up foled over but a tooth pick to prop her up and she was good.

What type of light do you put above ya rooting clones? As mine will want to flop if I keep my t5 to close for the first cpl day.

SuperThrive is great, and it's organic, a couple drops per gallon in the water you use to soak your rockwool cubes is never a bad thing (I'm sure a stronger dose could be used to root clones in a pinch or reduce costs, you can root something in a glass of plain water if you really had to). Replicator is also an amazing product, though more like a liquid not gel when compared to olivias or clonex...I also have never had to prop up clones when using that product, I think all gels seal but replicator supposedly uptakes it in the stem to help stabilize the clone. With a dome I don't mist, without a dome I mist once or twice per day with both methods producing about the same rooting times and good plant health. T5's or CFL to root, but if you have extra room in flower area you can even set them in the corner about 3-4 feet under HID in a dome and they will still root, but I'd only keep them in with the 12/12 no longer than 7 days. Diagonal cut may root quicker, but supposedly straight cut gets more roots.

I soak cuts in water with ST.couple drops per gallon..for a few hours.
Not sure if it helps, its something I do outta habit.
But I figure can't hurt any.

if anything you should try rooting with bloom nutrients in the water at about 25% strength. that is good. but i just find ph water with clonex does good. main problem is keeping the substrate at the right moisture level not too wet not too dry.

Seedlings and clones don't need too much light at 1st. If they're wilting, try doubling the height, that'll decrease lumens/sq ft by a factor of 4 or 1/4th. Heard they only need about 500 lumens/sq ft at 1st. Early veg up to 2-3,000 lumens/sq ft. then veg 5,000 on up. Finally in flower about 7,500 lumens/sq ft. (HID good for that phase). You could do more or less in flower but that's about the sweet spot. With T5 go with the lumens that bulbs say not watts. That gets you closer to true PAR numbers plants like.

About 5-6,000 lumens/sq ft is about average natural sunlight, peaks about 10-12,000 at solar high noon.

Thanks everyone for all the help. I went to the shop today and picked up some clonex. I wanted to try replicator but they dont carry it, and the shipping cost dosent justify ordering it at this time. I am worried the OxyCloner which uses DWC and not spray jets will somehow rinse away the gel? And with DWC cloners, do you set the stem into the bubbling water or just right above the water line so it stays moist?

Try this and you'll wonder why it's not used by more people:

2 tablespoons Aloe vera
1.5 tablespoons of BioAg Ful-Power
1 - 1.5 teaspoons Dyna Gro Pro-TeKt

Take 1/2 cup Barley Seeds and sprout. Pour sprouts into a gallon of water for 2-3 days, it will cloud up and you will smell mild fermenting. Don't let sit for more than 4 days.
Add below ingredients to FPE(fermented plant extract)

2 tablespoons Aloe vera
1.5 tablespoons of BioAg Ful-Power
1 - 1.5 teaspoons Dyna Gro Pro-TeKt

Put cutting in glass full of mixture and soak media(plugs,RR, whatever) set up cloner and watch the differences.

Super fresh growth enzymes/hormones from the sprouts and Aloe. Fulvic and silicone ad their own goodies.

That sounds like it would work great. I just order the barley seeds and sprouts off of the net?
