i installed another 6inch clip on fan that is near the bottom pointing up...seems to be giving them a real breather. the stretch is over and they are starting to really fill in. i have been pulling a handful on inside fan leaves for the past 4-5 days and they are staying very happy and getting much more light. super soil is looking great...there is one dtrain that looks like it might be hungry but it could be my imagination...i want them to start fading around day 45 and i plan on taking them around 65...

Things are lookin' great!

I imagine the toughest part about using the Super-Soil is getting the quantity dialed-in to the strain, in order to achieve the desired fade. What do you do if they stay too green? Will a major flush help in a case like that? Just curious, Ive never tried cooking my own soil. Looks like it's working fabulously.

the temps are dropping which is perfect for my situation. temps have been sitting steady 70off 78on...it cold will continue and increase so i am prepared to throw in the 600 and blast em for the last few weeks if need be ;-)

:woohoo: Blast 'Em!

Just went back through, had to look and see if ya used any chicken poo in that mix. (having chickens around) I didn't see it, just wondering why not? Seems like a good thing, no? I know I've seen it for sale at garden centers.

Day 36 Full Update!!!!!!

I have been out of town for work and they were thirsty when I got home. Just how I like em, beggin' for master to get home. Things are humming along and the weather has been cool enough to toss in the 600...so for the next four weeks (until chop) they are going to be under 600watts of lovely hps.

Lookin' good budman. Very nice shape/prunage on the blue widow..

Why were they thirsty after your absence? Rez run dry? No more blumats? :dunno:

took out the blumats a week or so ago after a huge run away....i was only out of town for three days...any longer and i would have hooked them back up....

the blue widow "mainlined" perfectly and is growing like a dream....its starting to get stinky. i have to light an incense when i go downstairs.

I don't get it, .. ? So you're back to handwater willie?

Why the runaway? Were you mucking with the dial between the "all is good" and the "omfg runaway?"

Tell da troof :tiphat:

Edit: Incense FTL .. So bogus. Lots of unnecessary smoke/airborne particulate matter..

:)

i am back to handwatering....

the runaway occured because a pot in the back was very light. i opened up the dial and came back the next day and it was nutzo...had to use wet and dry vac.

i love incense. i love the way they smell and the way the make me feel..plus, when i unzip the tent, things gets a little smellly

:respect: on the stink - good (and not) problem to have.

Just curious - so are you done w/ the blumats, or figure you'll just handwater for the rest of this run, start fresh next..?

But I do appreciate the honesty. :) From what I've heard, and IME, it really only seems to be user-error that leads towards disaster..

I'm with you - I've done the same thing ("Hmm, this pot is dryish. Lemme just finesse the sensor and fix it. .... Ohhhhh shit."

From those painful lessons, I think the move (when we see a dry pot) is to hand water it to the desired saturation level, .. And THEN dial the sensor in.

All good - these are but growing pains on the way to your full-on liberation from HAVING to be in the garden.. :)

(I hope - I hope you've not just thrown in the towel on the blumats) :friends:

actually, i place to start anew with the next round...im definetly not done with the blumats, just done for the time being. what i did find out is that i like handwatering. i relish in the times i get to spend with my plants. i thought i wanted to automate the process, but at this moment in time...i do not.

i see myself using them in the future but i might not. with all the being said, i am going to start using them next running starting in veg, i want to spend weeks with them and feeling them out while the plants arent flowering hard.

Things are movin excellently in my world. The weather is bringing fall and I couldn't be happier. This is my power season. Libra!

The dtrains are officially the fattest chicks at the party. I'm getting extreme frost with this SS. I know subcool likes his resin and def breeds for resin content. I like making a little bubble as well with the trim. But, this grow has got me vying for Harvest. Brewing up an ewc/sucanat tea for tomorrow. Connie Chung is very very light. Never really stacked into fully developed colas. Nice golf ball nugs. It will prolly finish before the rest of em.

Blue widow still has white pistils. Looks like they have stalled out from the early onset of flowering. They are floppy as shit and are actually tied together at the bottom with a few Velcro ties.

The 600 has been in for a cue days...the highs have increased to August 82f but temps are continuing to drop. I will be dropping to 400 on days that need more temp control. The light is about 18 inches above the tops and the light penetration is so much better. Have ceased most of defoliation. Bud sites getting great light. we are around day 38-39 today. Everything should finishe in the mid 60s.

Things are gettin cooler in my canyon. After sticking the 600 in my 3x3 I am getting temps of 68-81. Not ideal at all but it will get better. Gonna knock her down to 400 for the next couple days. I ve also slowly dropping her schedule back later and later..used to run 5p-5a. Now we are at 6p-6a. Going to knock it back at least to 7p-7a. That will be more conducive to my growing also gonna have a space heat in the general vicinity that should help with nighttime temps.

All the BWs have been tied up together. They are soooo floppy. These are def my first experience with floppers. So heavy though.. Starting to get stinky. Still have decided on new scrubber. But I def need it

What are the differences between the green and the purple dots next to your comment karma?

From my experience, nothin' wrong with 68 or 81, though apparently the smaller the disparity between high/low temps, the better.

However, for guys like you and me, it probably doesn't make a ton of sense to invest in environmental controls to THAT level. :)

Can't wait to see 'em bud. Now that you're no longer leashed in by the blumats, can we get some non-HPS shots? :D
