New location, new system.

Hey Peeps,

New location, new system.

I thought I would put up a few pics of the under current system I designed. Its has eight seperate 35 litre containers all joined with 40mm waste pipe and returns to the brain using a 3000 lph pump, the whole system also has 15mm drain sites connected to a 1000 lph pump for draining and flushing quickly. Inside the brain is a UV Steriliser and a twin water fall caused by a T at the return and another water fall created by the aquarium Chiller feed, so in total 3 water falls to create oxygen. I am using 2 Magnum xxxl reflectors dimmed at 600 watts each for now, using MH in veg and 1000 watt Sodium for flowering. I have also designed a 7' x 3' clip on SCROG screen when the plants are ready.

The nutrients I will be using are Plant Magic and the ph is now 5.8 and the e.c is 1.3. I can honestly say that the speed of growth is something else.
This was going to be an air conditioned room but the compressor on the a/c unit packed up after only 2 days continual running so now extracting through a 6" carbon filter through the lights. The intakes are two 5" silent fans taking cool air from the 50ml air gap between the slates all plugged in to SMS twin fan controllers set at 27c, and I am awaiting delivery on a very nice air cooler that only uses £2 per day to run to combat heat, along with a series of oil rads on thermostat sockets to combat cold, and a dehumidifier with humidistat set at 40% RH.

I designed this system to use less nutes, less waste and also for the explosive growth rate. The waste only comprises of a 5" net pot with pebbles and coco as well as the root mass, as disposing of 60 litres of coco each time was becoming a problem. As its a recirc system rather than a run to waste system I will use less nutes.

The strain I will be growing is Lonestars Killer Queen as I have really come to enjoy the smoke, and its easier catering for one strains needs.

Here are some pics of the system before the adding of plants :) I will soon post pics of the plants so you can see just how fast they grow like this.

Great looking setup mate, looks like you've put a lot of effort into it. Plant Magic nutes are great, do you always grow with 'em?

Peace

Thanks for the compliment mate :) This room and set up took me 7 weeks to perfect and complete, with a lot of ball aches along the way.Nope I have never used these nutes before, as I have always used GHE 3 part. But I am liking these already as they bring the e.c down to 6.0 without any trouble. It was RIL that got me to try them

Nice work mate....Looking forward to seeing this.

Thanks for stopping by my friend :tiphat: I also hope this all go's smoothly as well as first time using the system as well as the nutes.

Stay safe. :tiphat::ying::ying:

I'm impressed with the Plant Magic nutes....Bought a bottle of bloom, shop was out of Bio Bizz, I'll stick to Plant Magic. Will be using it in the greenhouse this year.

Plant magic nutes are def good at holding pH where you want it, and as you say using less pH down to get it there.

Concentration sucks ass, but the results are def very good. I still have half a bottle of a&b to use once these plants of mine get finished stretching.

Looking forward to seeing the plants in and doing there thing in that system. Good thoughts on getting rid of media. I think I may go back to coco slabs for this reason.

Plant Magic works great for me in soil, ph is dropped to about 6 and the lime in me soil mix brings the ph slowly back to 7.

Hey Shhh my friend glad to see your back on the boards :) I am also looking forward to see these plants doing their thing in this system and will post pics along the way until the 7'x3' screen of buds pics.

Very impressive build mate, wishing you G'luck with this one!k

Hello my friend, thanks for the kind words and stopping by. Hope your well.

Yep its good stuff for reducing ph as my water out the tap is 7.8 - 7.9.

Ok RIL mate here is the first batch of pics with plants in, and also a couple of root pics after only 6 days, so I think I am going to have to use my 40mm push on copper mesh filters over the end of the out pipes on each unit to stop the roots blocking the pipes. Enjoy

Data Logger Graph

Data Logger Graph

I thought I would also include a copy of the Data Logger graph showing temps throughout day and night, which is what helps me tune the room, as I can tell when I need to introduce more heat or cool air and also when the dehumidifier needs to be on.

looking spot on mate do your lights come on around 9am ? that's what I'm seeing on the graph

peace

Thanks mate, nope the 18/6 light schedule is 5am to 11pm thats just when the heat starts building up in the room due to the sun on the roof etc. This diagram shows the lights off and on peaks as I have highlighted them:
