good article mega....shit is getting crazy in the 707. things are a little calmer on the other side of the valley....

i still see things reversing for the most part....more feds, more regulations, and more people growing...its a battleground out there.

I agree Yes.... especially if the Obama administration remains in power.

I am actually coming into a "bit" of money next year and am starting to look for some property in the foothills within 3-4 hours (one way) drive time to 831 so I am very interested in articles like this...I think the 209 and 599 area code that look promising.

530 all day! dude buy some property over here near chico/oroville...thats where most of my friends are trying to congregate...it would be nice having more folks up here... cheaper real estate compared to nevada county and the other spots...and only 3 hours from the bay area. i make the trip once a week and its pretty chill...much less stressful than the 101 drive through the 707. ive only seen 1 or 2 DEA choppers this entire season...whereas when im in the 707 you will see them every day almost..

I drive the 101 daily and have never had any problems, hardly even see CHPs, atleast for right now. Only chopper I have seen in weeks was dumping water on a corner of my property that caught fire. I did, however, find out that the people across the ridge that got busted, had over 600 plants.

maybe my luck sucks...i usually see a CHP cruiser posted north of laytonville, and another at the covelo exit hiding almost religiously...and a bunch more as you pass through cloverdale and north santa rosa...there was a sneaky construction zone where the MPH drops by 10 and they caught me once right through healdsburg....when you see them cones slow down! lucky it was a dry run...

cruise control @ 65!

m4n- the ideal property will have a house setup for sure....alot of folks do the camper/tent things but i like to have some creature comforts....a good nights rest on in a warm bed and a good shower really helps keep productivity up. sleeping in tents for 3 months and shitting in holes aint no fun, by the time trim scene comes around gonna want to kill somebody...a well and electricity are a must!

This thread should be binned imo

The last thing we need is a bunch of new kids playing outside under the guise of 215, who have no respect or love for the area, who dont try and bring anything positive to the communities by volunteering...who come here b/c they can pull of some pounds and flood the market with mid grade.

Go down to the valley please....

So we should bin the thread because you think so?? Because you dont want 'kids' up in your area doing the same thing you do? What about all the other people that have gained information and insight from this thread? Sounds pretty selfish to me... sounds like someone feels threatened by the up and coming. Maybe its you that needs to go back down to the valley with all the other close minded, old fashioned folks....

I enjoy this thread, wish it was updated to 2012 NorCal Intel, but other than that, glad to hear that we are communicating with each other. Yes4Prop215, let me know when you're in the Healdsburg area next time, I'll have to introduce you to the girls.

sure :moon:

Its more I feel this thread is kind of something that might draw the wrong attention..but your right..the way certain members talk about their cliques and how much they are selling/buying/growing ect on this site, well then i guess I have nothing to really worry about do I haha..

As far as being threatened by new comers...put in 12 years and then youll be right behind me haha....why would i be threatened by mid grade outdoor?

And I guess I am old fashioned... i dont wear my pants below my ass....

pretty sure jointedones post was aimed at me...LOL. (way to make assumptions about the way i look, i assure you are quite wrong)...my mentors in mendo have 20 years of experiance, ive only been outdoors for 2 years but im doing pretty damn good IMO...we get along with the locals, and we have plenty of respect for the area...

and none of our outdoor is mid grade btw....some of the smoothest smoking herb in our neighborhood, most of the locals we met are actually buying my OG and cookies for their personal stash....

but whatever, i can understand the sentiment. i hate young people too....just more competition, when im an old fart il be complaining about all the little whippersnappers trying to eat off the same plate..

Nope not directed AT you, my post was just a general statement about how I feel about whats been going on the past decade....and the past couple years here on IC. If you feel it was directed at you then perhaps you see yourself in something I said? If not then its all good isnt it

im just sayin, you are complaining about people "taking advantage of 215, not in it for the love, only in it for the money"....but in my honest opinion, at least in my area in the 530, its all the established locals who ARE ALREADY DOING THIS!! most of the "locals" up here grow midgrade and dont care too much about anything except the money, they are all about maximizing yields instead of focusing on quality, people do this EVERYWHERE, especially in the bay area where im from....i try to bring a different mindset with regards to quality and strains up here and usually only consider being friends with people who think the same way.....

the only person ive met up here who isnt trying to make money off the herb game is actually a transplant himself.....alot the locals are operating happily in the grey area of the black market up here and seem happy to school us on how to do it as well...

while i love this plant and what it does for our community i also have bills to pay and places to see before i die...so the money is definately a big motivating factor in this, most of the people on IC who say otherwise are lying. this is a green rush and some of us care more about money than others.....most of the folks in the outdoor thread advocate the "grow 8lbs of commercial blue dream vs 3-4 lbs of super duper special weed".....its a business about maximizing returns on all the blood sweat and tears this lifestyle brings..

peace.

Hello all,

Damn right. They may have speed, strenght and agility..But remember, I have wisdom, cunning, deception and ruthlessness on my side.

Go eat elsewhere punk.

I agree with prop in that its the long time locals that are really destroying their own community and market by going super huge just to make up for the new comers that grow better weed than they do...I havent met one person yet that cares about quality in the least up here, all about numbers...Hell one of my neighbors has a 200 lb dep he crops 3 times a year, havent seen him in months, only his immigrant laborer that comes to fill the rezy once a week. his stuff is complete garbage, but, he has already pulled 350 lbs this year and it all went with the quickness.
