I really hate the beatles. John Lennon will give you cancer, just ask George Harrison.

it's not an age old question you moron...the beatles....

rollingstone magazine still rates it best band of all time, and they still have sold more records than anybody else, and they did most of it back in the 60's, when going gold was an accomplishment...

plus they are the best and you suck for even acting like it's a question you tool, it's not up for debate and you are obviously lacking in brainpower if you think it somehow is.

I like both groups, but the Beatles affected the music world like no other group ever will again.

The Beatles. Saw the Stones at Candlestick and was totally unimpressed. Don't get me wrong, the Stones are OK and I like a few of their tunes, but the Beatles have this one locked up.

WOW BROTHER... It was just a question chillout.. I have been asked and ask this question and Rolling Stone has now affect on the standing of music to people who love music. maybe at one time it was some thing but so was High Times. and record sales mean nothing to me as I am a Dead Head and the music is what matters not ratings. Now for Brain power at least i can think of what I like not what I am told to like because the sold records and record company's bribed the DJs to play them all the time.

Don'tget me wrong I dig the Beatles, Is just I dig real Rock and Roll.

The stones are probably the most overrated band of all time.
a bunch of public school boys(private school in england) trying to play rock and roll.
btw the martin scorsese doc on george harrison((living in the material world) is brilliant

And you know what they broke up before the 80's, and they 80's was just a bad time for music I don't think any band was safe from it. although some came back around at the end it doesn't change what they did.
