farmtek has all kinds of liners . you prob wont find a liner that big at hd.i couldnt when i looked.

im glad you told me that i gotta make an order asap. am i supposed to cut the liner with a knife to make it fit in the room properly or is that a no no?

You want the edges rolling up the wall a few inches so it becomes a "pool"

the only thing is the wood on the bottom of the wall is too short to staple to can i staple the liner right into the drywall?

I have never stapled a pond liner up and I'm not sure how heavy it is, but I want to say yes. Just get the longest staples that a regular staple gun will take. I think the max on mine is like 12 or 14 inches. If you staple in a piece of cardboard on top of the pond liner it will hold better and protect the wall a little bit by applying the holding pressure to a larger area and providing a buffer that should prevent the staple gun from driving the staple flush with the wall or deeper.

Also side note my Stanley staple gun is a piece of shit, my Arrow is great though. A friend of mine agreed that Arrow makes good staple guns.

Have you ever heard of gaffer tape? It's mainly used by cinema lighting techs. It has about twice the hold of your average duct tape while leaving no residue behind. The only downside is that it's pricey.

Thanks for the tip. I will remember that. I'm in a basement right now so it doesn't matter, but if I ever have to set up in a finished living area again I'll probably be needing some of that.

very good info again thanks. im gonna cut a bunch of 3" squares of card board and every staple will go though one before it hits the wall. im gonna look for an Arrow at home depot

I read a post yesterday where some guy said that his buddy that built his flood tables stapled the tarps below the water line...So the wood started rotting because of leaks. Hilarious. Make sure to staple it high up and you'll be 100% A-OK.
