kk so here's the deal

SOG
3'x5' table ebb n flow
60+ plants

nowww im stuck on what lights i wana go with almost feeling cmh =O!

Soo help me decide only theses options ;)

1 x 1000 watt hps (horti) imo not feeling this one on small space

2 x 600 watt HPS hmmm?

3 x 400 watt CMH =O?!?!?!

Now i have always worked with 1k's and heat is always a bitch ovb less watts prolly more easy to cool I'm not helpless I'm not stupid already have a very good idea on my whole set up n operation just looking for some good o'll advice/opinions from icmag ;)

Yes, the 2x 600 is much easyier to cool. It's also better for the set up your talking about IMO. 1000 watt light is wasted on a sog. They are for larger plants thart Need more penetration.

Good call on the hordelux too....

Its a tough call between the 400s and the 600s.

My plants sure do love the spectrum of the cmh.

I'd be willing to bet that, all other factors being equal, you will yield better with the 3 400s and have a higher quality product.

3 400's would be more work to setup, more things to potentially go wrong, and more expensive. Buying 3 ballasts/3 bulbs can be costly especially for a small time grow. With a 3x5 space 2 600's would be a good compromise.

I ran a 3x5 room with a single 600 on a mover. I would yield from 1 1/4# - 1 1/2# every run depending on strain. Very effective. I grew dwc, sog and mini bosai plants with them all getting close to the same yield. Either way the rail did perform well.

=P Money is no issue lol things go wrong . . . . then i fix em its growing shit happens accepted that a longgg time ago =) btw i think i am actually gonna go for 2x 600 ;)

One little thought, ok, 2 maybe, even with lotsa cash the cost of 3 400w can be made up on the cost of the bulbs imho. Have you priced a replacement bulb? And where Im at I can get a 400 or 1000w at several hardware stores but only 2 specialty shops with in 90 miles. Its made up over time but I change about 9 months to a year. Haven't priced internet or anything else tho.

Also, if 1 400w goes bad, you've only lost 1 third of your light for a moment. 1 600w goes out and thats half of your light gone for a moment. Just a thought and wanted to throw that out there to consider. I have 2 400w and wanted a 3rd lite but the 600w is to specialized and pricey for me. While its true you have 3 lites to work it helps with plants of different heights. I do a rotating grow and no 2 are the same. Gonna stay with the same # of buckets but I think I'll get more coverage than with 2 600w also.
