The Guerrilla Grower Intensive Training Program...

I've not the inclination, space nor money to set up a home gym but have discovered the ultimate in fitness/training programs. I competed in last years Toughmudder, at one time would hit the gym hard 4-5 times a week, have been locked up with nothing to do but calisthenics, lift weights and battle it out with the other inmates. I weigh about 240, bench press (full sets) 480ish, can curl around 260 and the last time I did squats, I got over 900lbs up with no help and no cheating.

Be that as it may, none of it prepared me for this years grow. I packed all necessary material in a backpack, jumped on a bicycle and pedaled over 60 miles. Throughout the season, I did/do this 2-3 times a week. Once I get to my destination, I hike through hideous and treacherous terrain, up/down hills, through brush that scare away the Deer and drag 4-5 gallon buckets of water with me. At one point, I reach a 30-40' cliff that I have to climb and lift the water.

Once that spot is finished, I pedal my happy ass another 12 miles round trip and drag the same amount of water in much more plush conditions but still, dragging 160lbs of water and 20lbs in my pack through the woods is no cake walk.

I highly suggest this sort of training to those with enthusiastic spirits wanting to get back in shape.

I can only dream of a 900lb harvest, perhaps next year if I move to Cali... Pumps and conditions ample to run lines would be the answer to my dreams.

900lb squat? Today? Hell no. That was after being locked down for 56 months and a few years back. I'd like to think I could get 600 up today though.

PS.

You may be able to petition FSP for surveillance video...I was out there every single day and am sure they have footage.

Well either way, sounds hardy. I had a tough enough time hauling a 50lb pack up a 1500 ft hill a couple times a week. Hope you got a nice harvest for that work.

you an mudder dave should fight. i dont get bigger than 210. i preferr 170. as an outdoor grower you need to be able to haul ass. ever had to escape an encircling team of leo officers.? my track skills rule in the woods. i wouldnt wanna be that big. ever seen a muclebound track runner or even long distance ? nope not really. i could work out all day and take steroids i wouldnt get that big. i used to do 100 mile bike trips from homestead florida down the keys all the time. now i aint that motivated.. not looking to get ripped myself .to each their own .it would take me a few years to be able to do any truly tough shit like the mudder . my health took a big hit a few years back and rehab is slow. either way have fun and i hope you have a great season.

Very cool. Which one? I did the NorCal at Squaw Valley last year and I'm doing this year's NorCal next month at Northstar. They're addicting.

Lol, Dave seems to be a good and respectable man...My senseless fighting days are all but over.

Actually, last year, I was out in the woods and had a helicopter come seemingly out of nowhere at treetop level as I was harvesting. I threw the bags and dove fearlessly and blindly into a pile of leaves. I'm sure the majority of my body showed, the Pilot saw me and had a good laugh. I still don't know what that was all about but nothing happened from it.

I like to think I can still move like lightning under the proper circumstances...Like being chased by the law or away from the wrong woman...Like I said, I like to think that...Let's hope that never happens.

You're from my old stomping grounds it seems...

I'm on the opposite coast. I had never heard of them but my girl wanted to do it and a few buddies amplified that scenario so I did it to spite all of them....Threw away a nearly brand new pair of Nikes to ''The pile'' which I'm still heated over, lol.

I so don't miss humpin water over the ridges on a night like this. Feelin old,n broken.

I so want this season to end! Perhaps this will be my last one for a few years. I can only hope. Can't do the indoor thing at the present time but one day.
I may just curl up at the end and hibernate like a Bear...

What? You don't miss monitoring the woods and seeing any movement of something as simple as a leaf or slight of sunlight appearing to be someone walking? No love lost for the endless thornbushes, nettles and tree limbs jabbing you in every part of your body as you trek on? How about coming home and having to pull 10+ ticks off you, nightmare inducing mosquito, knats, bees, wasps, yellow jackets stinging every crevice of your body? How about rabid coons and groundhogs declaring war?

You're right though, the solitude, peace, tranquility and knowing you're doing an exceptional job almost makes it all worthwhile.

I love guerrilla growers that do it right and do what they do well...its getting harder and harder the more land that keeps getting urbanized and the more people go out into the wilderness to make trails plus the cops making the chopper rounds...its no easy thing these days...I have seen growers that used to be able to do actual "plots" that have turned into sporadic guerrilla ops -- basically 1 or 2 plants here, 1 or 2 there, 1 or 2 here, 1 or 2 there, it gets pretty frustrating to see how difficult it can be but it defintely is worth it if it all works out...problem with doing sporadic grows is if they find one plant they are gonna turn that area upside down to find the others...so it works both ways as far as security..i'd prefer to be able to just do plots but it just isn't that easy any more...plus everyone and their moms knows how lucrative the pot market is...there are just so many people with it over here, its killed the game.

I hate to bring more attention than is already on it but east coast is where the goose is at...and there is no shortage of peoples sending their warez out that way to get that goose we used to be able to get in the golden state...you gotta double up in California now to make those same numbers..*sigh*

keep doing your thing my guerilla brothers
