New to Chemjack

I’m really glad I found this forum. There’s not a lot of info on this strain and Mother Chucker’s web site does not give any info either. I will apologize ahead of time for being a bit of a noob when it comes to the growing. I picked up several of these wonderful ladies because of the strain. I’ve had a few problems with the ones in my hydro setup (Hydroton in buckets flooding at 15 min every 4 hrs) but not my soil pots. Started with half nutes when I set them up and in less than a week started getting brown around the edges of the leaves followed by yellowing. Flushed. Now on full nutes. I’m using the 3 part GH Grow/Micro/Bloom at 10/7.5/2.5ml per gallon respectively. I’m also adding 10ml Diamond Nectar and 2.5ml of CalMag and Dark Energy. PPM’s: 1200. They have bounced back from the bad leaves but some of the new growth are showing signs of limpish leaves with the edges curling up. Is this now a P problem? Can someone tell me what ratio to run my N/P/K at for veg and bloom with these kids? Also, how much more will they grow once put into bloom and how long should the internodal spaces be on the main stem? Any help is appreciated and feel free to ask questions.
:thank you:

my chemjacks run fine on the suggested nute formula by several different manufacturers.
I've run the head formula in coco also lucas in coco and DWC. I ran GH organics and biobizz in organic soil. its a stacker not a stretcher for me.

why don't you put up some pictures? you could have a different pheno....

Here are a couple of shots I just took. I know I have a couple of odd balls in the group that I need to contact the Co-op about. My temp stays under 85 degrees and I try to keep my pH around 5.8. Take a look and tell me what ya think. I could just be a little over worried, I get that way.

I don't know what that is except stress of some sort. I wouldn't sweat it, but if those are the hydro who knows? if the chemjack is like mine it wants to be topped often for best yield.

OK, I think what you are saying is you bought clones of chemjack... I grew mine from seed and while they were pretty consistent mine dont smell anything like what the breeder wrote in the poll attached. mine smells JH dominant with a background of spicy pepper. no sour , no sweet and fruity, just Jack and pepper.

try some seeds, I'm growing out some of their Bill Mahr now and found the most vigorous Indica Dom thing I've ever seen. Whatever JH went into my girls was a good one.

I'll be interested to see how yours finish, keep posting here, nobody else does ;-)

Thanks for all the info, and yes I got theses as clones in soil and had to swap some of them over to hydroton. I figured I stressed them a bit doing that. I’m not too worried about the curling leaves, it has only affected about 1 in 5 of my plants and I will be mixing them fresh nutes today. I did notice that I have a little purple streaking coming back on some the stems that I had resolved with the last batch of nutes. I think they are just missing something. I did a little more research on phenotypes and I’m paying more attention to outward traits of the plants now. They do seem to very quiet a bit between plants. I do want to do some seed grows but I’m still not completely set up. Still bit of a noob jumping head first into this. Best way to learn, if ya ask me. I just want to make sure they are good and healthy before throwing them into bloom! I’m going to start topping them now. The new growth has switched from height to new growth spreading out from the base and working its way up and out. I figure they will be 18-24 inches by the time I throw them into bloom. Can you tell me how much more growth I can expect from this strain and how do I give you props on this website? I try to say your posts are useful but then it requires me to log in and then I no longer have the option. Is it because I’m new?
:thank you::respect:

I tried soil into hydro once, wish I still could find pictures on the mess that turned into...
weeks of washing the roots off and gallons of peroxide to get me to a shitty harvest.
we all live and learn. my pheno is a medium stretch, maybe 1-1/2 times taller at finish but
I top and train and tie down in early veg to try to get multiple colas.

here's one 32 days into 12/12, extra defoliation due to high humidity (pm)
That's a 5 gallon smart half full with amended coco, 34" high

Train it like that and you can get some of these

If you leave it untopped it finishes more like this

I last harvested one of these in January and I'm into the second
last jar filled with the pick of the tops, 7 month cure, what an aroma!
It's the same and mysterious exotic oriental fragrance as what the Beatles get off on.
What can I say about this elixir? Try it on steaks! Cleans nylons!
Small craft warnings! It's made for the home!
The office! On fruits!
Sniff, sniff . . . Mmm, what is that, MUSK?

I was blessed to find this girl in my noob grow 2 years ago.

I love this strain its very high energy and very heavy head stone.
I prefer straight up Jack Herer and the lovely Jack Frost they always
had at Berkeley Patients (RIP) but this is a workable substitute for my head.

I aint in this for the props but thank you, I'm just a sick old man
whose body is failing after 25 years of "medical treatment".
I find Jack herer to be like a holy grail kind of strain for my head.
I hope you got something close to what I found. are you cali patient?

Wow, those are some nice pictures! :canabis:

That is a beautiful cola you ended up with. I have a friend that has a few years of growing under his belt and he is going to come by this weekend and school me on some trimming and training of the plants. Yes, I'm a cali patient. I live further up in the hills and that is why I've decided to grow. The nearest DECENT co-op is 50 miles away. Besides, I'm finding out that I actually enjoy growing. I intend to learn more about seed growing, propagation, and cloning. After this grow, if I have time, I might even try building a cabnet. I also enjoy the head high. I like to stay functional and not couch bound.:needcoffee:

Wow, time just goes by. Sorry for not responding eairlier. I've been busy with the weekend and I put my plants into 12/12 lighting and I think I'm going to lose one. Just didn't like the light change I guess. Sad because it was a decent plant to begin with. To answer your question Chunkypigs, "Not from the place where I picked up the clones from."

So I just found out that I don’t have the greatest lighting going on for photos but I tried to snap a few. With the HPS and LED lights, it’s hard to take photos and I don’t have good ambient lighting. Here is a photo of the one who didn’t survive the light change.

I think I found one of my problems. The pH pen I was using was not working too well. Now that I bought a new and better one (Never buy a cheap pH pen if you do hydro, you can really screw up your plants!!!), they seem to be doing better.

I was able to pull this one out and I had to hold a shop light over it just to get this photo. This is one of the potted plants that didn’t go through the shock of the transplant. I through the soda can in for size and I was thirsty.

So, they are starting to bloom. As long as I can keep them alive for the next two months, I might have something nice! I'll see what I can do about my lighting in the next week.

looks good! I'm seeing 2 different phenos in the Bill Mahr I'm running. one indica and a Jack dominate one that smells like my chemjack.

keep us posted... i think the OP his vanished anyways...

I love my chemjack, ive added 15 strains to my garden this year and I'm tossing a bunch
but this one is still the jar i reach for first every day.
