Coco Vert Stadium 4 1000s

Cali you can add more dosers what nutes are you running? Most setup I do are like 6 Dosatrons. I think 4 is fine for most. Im going to add one more to my setup for my Mg and ph. If you need a good photo of my setup let me know if it will help for all your parts.

Cool, thanks Eastbay! I use GH nutes and I usually add a bloom booster. So it sounds like 4 would be good. I'm not sure if I'm gonna set one up or not, but I'm seriously considering it. They go for about $500 or $600 a piece, huh? If I decide to go for I'll hit you up for some tips and photos. Thanks again!

Very nice setup EastBay, really like the dosatron setup. Nice to not have to clean your reservoir and dump/mix nutes.

Are those a model where you can flip the switch on top to bypass the dosing?

CaliMedPatient, You can get ones cheaper for around 350, the 14gpm one. It doesn't have a bypass switch on top so you would have to design plumbing to get fresh water when you want to flush.
Also make sure you put in a check valve so that no nutes can be sucked into your household water.

This is a 14gpm dosatron, hooks up to 3/4" NPT PVC fittings

jp, i first seen some of your dosatron setups on the farm.. you have a write up or anything on the various other parts you use/need for a dosatron setup?

i found some of the 11gpm units, but from my understanding they had been replaced with the 14gpm models.. any reason you would suggest getting the newer ones over the older model? price difference is more then 100$

will having a large ro storage tank and running that through the dosers work the same?

im currently running a flat garden but im in the construction stage of a 4k stadium as well:joint: pulling up a chair to watch this all the way through :tiphat:

I would run a hi volume RO filter inline of the dosatron. I use the D25RE09 becouse you can run it down to 1:1000 is 4 mils I think the one you are talking about is 1:500 it is I think like 6 mils. Im 5 week in and they are doing very well the Granny Derkle suck this will be the last run with this one. The Pepe Le Chem is the one. It is a nice plant I will run this one till it get it down. I think on my next run I will do like 64 in 3gl smart pots.

Thanks! I'll check there stock an see if they are the same ones. What would you consider a hi-flow ro system? Something like the hydrologic units or a more commercial size unit.

I didn't think the flow coming out of one of them units would be enough to work properly with the dosatron seeing as it has a 3/4 inlet that's why I thought of keeping a ro tank topped off an just pump that through when needed. But if it works shit I'm all for not having a nutrient tank to hassle with. Was gonna send you a pm not to de-rail the thread but u can't get em yet.. Then I went over to the farm an it's the opposite lol

Thanks :tiphat:

Seems like I was wrong on my research. The model you run is a hydroponic specific model. When you say 4ml an 6ml you mean the 1:1000 unit will dose as low as 4ml an the other only as low as 6ml?

If one was running an additive that only called for 2ml a gal it would have to be diluted? The specs are a good bit different from the model the OP uses an the one linked on farmtek.. Just a heads up to anyone thinking about grabbing them. :tiphat:

I think the one I run is the best one for what we do. Most food is no lest then 5 mils. I would run 3 dosers as a start with the 2 I have I find that I need 1 more for my setup.
With 1 more doser for me whould be for mag and ph. The 6/9 did good for me.

thanks i'll shop around for those same models.. did you ever get a good dilution rate for the epson salt?

and you have any advice on a hi flow ro? i currently have a merlin garden pro from a few years back but i wouldn't call that a hi-flow:wallbash: the outlet is usually that small pisser on the ones ive seen

I would have to check it but before i put the Merlin in that spot it was about 350, I don't remember in what scale tho so I'll do another take. I'm curious if it's low enough should the water be taken before or after the water softener that's put in the system.

Forgot to mention the reason for RO is because the place is on well water unfortunately.

Eastbay - Did your run the pepe la chem from seed? I have a couple packs i'm soon to pop, you are one of the only people ive seen running them. Anything else you can tell me about it would be appreicated. Grow looks great btw :good:

I ran them from seed to find a good mom and got cut from them. They take 6/9 very well.
Im going to run 64 3gl smart pots I think I can hit 7.5 to 8 this next run with 4 1000. With co2 set at 900 this time temp 79 to 80 hum 45%.
