For those that are running t5's for veg & a 1000watt for flower wat do ur bill average out too.juss wanted to get an idea of wat mine would be..t5 (18/6)......1000watt(12/12)...im in the northern florida area...please any input is good

300w of t5....18 hours a day is 162kwh per 30 days
1000w of flower for 12 hours a day is 360kwh per 30 days.
542kwh x whatever you pay per hour (11 cents im guessing)
Comes to around 60 bucks....add in all the fans, maybe 70 bucks.

does any one here have a grow journal with pics using t5,s? i,m planning on using a 4 foot 4 bulb unit on top and a 4 foot 2 bulb unit on each side. the reason i,m using the t5,s is because i,ve already got them. i,m just kind of wondering if they throw up red flags on the electric bill. i,ve heard of people using these lights for their grows but i,ve never seen any real pic,s of any.

Those lights are very good for veg, but a 600w hps would do much better in flower....and if u go barebulb w/0 refelctor it won't even cost you all that much.
6 t5 bulbs will not throw any flags....brob less wattage than you gaming computer or ps3 with tv and sound system.

It depends on your rates but generally speaking yes.

1,000w 12/12....per month is 360kwh....not one state has rates at 30 cents to make it go over 100 bucks a month. Most are 10-15 cents.

I run (2) t5 4x4's in veg and 1kw in bloom....we also run 7 tv's and an impressive sound system along with a 4ton hvac and overhead lighting and we pay around $400/mo for power. So I do use the items you were asking about, but we run so much more at the spot that its hard to isolate an exact cost from the grow lights. Btw-the t5s are great in veg.

depends on the of day and your baseline, some companies have different tiers, where if you use more than a certain amount your rate can double, in my area the baseline rate is 12c and kwh, but it goes all the way to 30 cents if you use more and at certain hours the rate goes up, all this depends on your power company, usually the bill has your rates per usage.

Today i planted some purple wreck,cheese,strawberry cough,lavender,afghan kush,and some blue mammoth auto's..i will keep yall updated...my last batch got stolen (yea that sucks) along with my 4bulb t5 so i bought a brand new 8bulb lamp...imma let the autos finish under the t5 cause i dont wanna run my 1000watter for 18/6.. any suggestions..

1000w(12/12) flowering and 400w+/-(24/7) veg is safe for a one bedroom Apt, and you can add another 1000w(12/12) for every additional bedroom.

Following this simple guideline is pretty standard procedure and WILL NOT raise any flags unless you live in occupied Nazi-state of Florida. That state sucks, their Electric company works hand in hand with the 5-0, ratting on customers who do not follow the above Rule. Fl. is NOTORIOUS like Big Pappa for doing this.

I have found myself over the years cutting all of my electricity usage for normal use, and then replacing it with lights. I figured I was using it before might as well keep using it.

Yea look at your last bill and see whats the cost per kw and if your in a tier. by the second week of the month ive used over 400% of my baseline and thats up to 45 cents i think i have one more tier after that thats a llittle higher

in lake butler where you will repeatedly have "it" stuck in your asshole by your cellmate.

That's just like throwing gasoline on a fire and hoping it won't ignite.
Besides, smart meters are everywhere now so stealing power the conventional way (diverting) is out.
