Carbon scrubber for micro cab? PLEASE HELP!

Hi guys, I need some help with my lighting/ventilation
Say the cab I'm growing in is (these are rounded numbers)
35" length (900mm)
15" depth (400mm)
32" height. (830mm)
roughly 4 sqft! it needs 13CFM!!!

Now in this cab i will be running 8x 55w PL-L's so 440w's

that is 6 bulbs at 3000k and 2 bulbs at 6500k

This is a flowering cab in scrog/LST.

I want to make this cab smell proof.

With this setup should I be running a (search these in ebay australia if ur not sure):
CAN FAN RS100 AND CAN 9000 CAN FILTER CARBON FILTER KIT

100MM EZIAIR CENTRIFUGAL FAN AND CAN FILTER 9000 CARBON FILTER KIT

150MM EZIAIR INLINE FAN AND CAN 1500 FILTER - CARBON FILTER KIT - I can also buy this fan in 100 and 125mm sizes. I would like to use this one the most as it doesn't seem very loud and price isn't too much, though people say axial fans are useless throgh carbon scrubbers. has anyone run this setup before?

or can I run just a small PC fan + DIY carbon scrubber?

Odor control is a must for me. I will be using the carbon scrubber and probably buy an ona block for outside of the cab just for good measure.

If I do the DIY carbon filter I can run it inside the cab. If it's the others I will most probably need them on the outside of the cab as they are quite larger... however I could try putting it in...

do u guys think the inline fan is overkill? what is my best option?
sound will be a slight factor as well... something under 50dbA will be perfect..

They always say if you think you've got enough ventilation get more... I've got an ebay 100mm and 150mm inline, the 100mm isn't too loud but they're both louder than specified the 150mm sounds like a jet taking off on start up and then goes down to about 73db dispite being listed at around 60db. You would probably be alright with a 100mm but it depends on how hot it gets were you live.

Now not to thread jack but were did you get the PL-L's from?

Hey man i haven't got my PLL's yet but i'm looking at ebay.co.uk for the lights and ballasts because they use 230v circuit compared to USA 120v.
What are the dimensions of your cab?
How loud does your grow room sound from about 3m away? What lights are u using and what temps do u get inside?

I really hope I can just use a 150mm ezi air axial fan because it seems much quieter and if it's keeping it smell proof then it's fine! especially ebcause PL-L's wont be getting tooo hot.

Cabs 2.8 sq ft 850hx620wx450d its only got a 120mm stealth pc fan atm and that stays between 22-24 with the door open and 28-30 with door closed, but that'll change once summer comes and that's what the 100mm inlines for. I've run the 100mm over night to test it out and the 150mm desk fan circulating air was louder. I've had the door to the room open when family were over and they didnt notice anything so should be all good, but it never hurts to take extra precautions just in case.

how much higher in the cab is it than ambient temps' if u know?
ie. 20degrees in ur room, 24 in the cab or 30 degrees in ur room, 34 in the cab.
and what light setup are you using?
You made a good point, when we go into summer it's going to get much hotter! especially up here. I think you may have talked me into a 100mm centri...
However If temp's in the cab are directly affected by the room ambient temp, wouldn't the cab still be slightly more higher than ambient room temps? But yes it should still be better than a pc fan I suppose..
I have heard PL-L's are much cooler and I bet they are cooler than a 130w cfl too.

Only thing I don't like is the size of it is huge!!

It's about 4 degrees higher with the door ajar and 8 degrees higher with the door closed but thats with the pc fan I think with the 100mm you'd half that. I've got a 130w warm and 2 48w cool. I bout a 250w to replace the 130w but its massive and won't fit.

yeah I'm not a fan of the 130w bulbs, they put off a lot of heat, and your 250 will be doing heaps also! look at struckanerves back grow thread. u can see what can be done with CFL's and PL-L's. Especially becuase we have small cabs it is best to go with PL-L or cfl I think.
with your 250w HPS maybe look into just having the cooltube and not a big hood like some come in!

Not to hijack the thread either but I'm also building a micro cab...still looking into the exact designs that I will use but will be cfls for sure. Going to be running a solo 42w bulb, and the rest will be 23watts. Havent decided on how many bulbs yet(will be increasing as I get later in the grow). But venting is my biggest concern as I'm in a studio apartment and can't risk an apartment smelling like erbs. I'm looking at doing a diy can filtre(will come back with a link when I'm home). I am planning on building an exterior box that will hang on the side of the cab which will hold the filter and fan. Thinkinv of purchasing a bathroom fan from the local hardware store and seeing how quiet it is with the filter. It will allows me to rwturn it if im not happy.

hoping some of that info is helpful. Ill be.back with links in about 20 mins.

1)If you have no space for a big filter and not a lot of cash, I suggest this

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=209154

Easy to add more fans. I have a few different plugs for my fans. 6 volt and 12 volt plugs. Used old pc 3,4 prong plugs to make it easy to swap. Recommend getting fans with ball bearings. Otherwise the fans wear out within 1 year.

2) If you have space, cash, and no ability to make your own. Go premade.

3) Bathroom exhaust fans can be VERY QUIET. I have 80 cfm fan (gifted) and it's very very quiet. cheap ones are noisy. Ran full blast with guests in the room and no one noticed.

But good to know the limits. Similar size.
Hate to sound like an reckless grower. But i just did an entire grow without any filters on the pc fans. I had MAD amount of ventilation (+300 CFM) in the cabinet and the (2000 CFM) room via a box fan in the window. Air turn over was WAY past normal. But no smell was allowed to stay in the room. Only during last 1-2 weeks did they smell at all and that was cause i was torturing them (iced the roots at lights out).

I heard of the whisper, I will do more research into it.
First priority is odor control then noise, then proper cfm/ventilation.
should I just attach a diy filter to the bathroom exhaust fan? i saw a friend running one and it was like 30cm/1ft in diameter lol...
