Joe's Grow

Hello, I felt like documenting my grows on this forum. Here's what I'm rollin with at the moment:

Light: BlackStar 240w UV LED (2010 Model)
Tent: Homebox XS
Medium: Premiere Peat Moss, Perlite, Vermiculite, 6-9-0 7%Ca Whitney Farms Bone Meal (1cup per cubic foot)
Feedings: Was fed nothing but foliar Neptunes Harvest (2-3-1) and Epsom Salts in veg. First feeding was on tuesday, before I flipped them to 12/12, I fed them a weak dose using Jack's Classic Blossom Booster (10-30-20)
Current Strain: Extrema - Heavy potent smoke. Selected my mother and will be moving on to find a bigger yielding strain when I am free to pop beans. Next on my plate I am testing Loompa Farms Moondawg F2's (CHEM 91 x OTM) should be some flamed out shit, I can't wait!

I grew two Extrema from seed. Vegged for an undetermined amount of time. Topped/fimmed 2-3 times each.... (my next purchase is gonna be a new led most likely from the new GrowLEDHydro company, SpectraLED)

Here they are Day 1 of 12/12

Pruned below the screen. Anything that's left will be removed in the coming days for clones:

I left the branches in the back of the tent a little higher than the rest so they won't be stretching to reach the light:

Thanks

Yeah fems. These are the last two seeds from the 5pk, pictured in the tent. All have been hermie free compared with what ppl say about this strain.

Wish I had the reg release to make F2's.... This is some of the heaviest smoke I've had the pleasure of using.. The only strain I've tried that is similar is Death Star (sensi star x sour diesel), but the high is nowhere near as long as extrema's.

Thanks joeguy its been smooth sailing so far this round. Used some local compost last time and my plants looked like total shit compared to now with this peat mix.

Got a little present today :) gonna be popping half the pack sometime in september when these extremas are a week or two out from finishing.

Hey here's an update in between day 11 and 12 of flower:

I began pruning the lower stuff that wasn't getting any light while they began to stretch, so I may have slightly delayed sexing by a few days/week? No big deal I'd rather a little delay than fluffy crapola. They're getting fed a half dose of Jack's Classic Blossom Booster and will begin regular dosage after sexing. I probably should have cut back a week on veg, this is the most I've grown so far in my little tent lol

Anyways here are some pictures I snapped before I began to tie back some of those taller branches pictured. Thanks for stopping by! :

Looking good in there Joe. Trimming up the branches will not delay sexing the plant. The stress that occurs from removing lower branches is quite minimal and has little to no effect on the growth rates of the plant. I used to always give a trim of the lower branches two weeks into flower, it always seemed to help the plant focus on the branches and tops that were getting the most light.

Cool I was under the impression it could potentially slow the sexing phase, and I think my previous extrema from seed were sexing by now.

Thanks for stopping by man!

Hello all

Pistils began appearing after day 14. These are the stretchiest Extrema I have ever grown, I think these two ladies are working my small LED overtime with this thick canopy, making them reach more than they should be for light! Still managing though..

Watered with pH'd tap on thursday:

Here they are pictures were taken last night between days 16-17

It says on the jrpeters website that Blossom Booster should be mixed with Hydro-Herb or RO formulas in order to avoid the stretching. Nice grow by the way.

That kind of stretch is pretty typical with the Chem varieties. In fact your girls look like they are leaning towards the chem side of their genetics. But it does look like your stretch is just about done. Looking good in there.

45 king - thanks for that i wasnt aware, thats probably whatsup

Smoking gun - ive grown this strain 3x previously from seed, theyre all uniform with no surprises until now, even with over a month's veg they never got this tall/stretchy. That's why I thought it was a lack of light/light penetration. But yeah herijuana phenos have smaller fan leaves, have a coffee hash smell and still pack on a nice stretch, these two look like mixed phenos or phenos that lean to the mom (whether thats chemdawg d the clone, chemd from elite, or chemdd from rez idk haha).

Buddle - it is a strain made by S@nnie (replace @ with an a)

Thanks fellas, appreciate the comments!
Just woke up to a lovely smell coming from my closet, gonna be carbon filter time pretty soon :D
