Anyone ever had any mail intercepted by Aust Post?

In the sunshine state 21 seeds confiscated by customs resulted in a visit by about 12 feds and a dog. They went away empty handed. About 8 weeks later there was a follow up visit, another 12 plus dog from, would you believe, the local major crimes unit. In the deep north police state it appears they take these things quite seriously.

I still laugh at the memory of the locals introducing themselves as the major crimes unit! They were polite but quite thorough. The warrant included knocking down walls and digging up the yard, which they said they would only do if they deemed it necessary. I only posted to warn people.

Hi Terroir, final result was no charge. Never admit to anything. I get mail from Nepal occasionally, every letter since has been opened by customs even Xmas cards. None were opened before then. I suspect I'm on a list somewhere. It was 21 seeds because 1 was a free seed, some stupid thing that would grow about 6in tall here. They came from G.B. I'm really paranoid now.

Thanks for the warning. The reason I found it hard to believe is because I have been around pot sites for a number of years and have not heard a story like this. Also I happen to have resided in QLD and had seeds seized but nothing happened. It did stop me growing and ordering more, but nevertheless nothing happened. Made me very paranoid too.

To have 12 cops plus dog visit twice for 20 seeds seems a bit of an overkill. I cannot imagine the cost and waste of police time.

How long after the seeds were seized did you get raided?

Hi hard rain, yes its costly but it's easy and it's only taxpayers money. They treat it like a day out. A shopkeeper told me about a raid at the local shops. He said there were 10 or more vehicles and at least 30 cops. The trolley boys were selling weed. A major cartel I'm sure!

The seeds were at customs in early Jan. The feds came in March and the locals in late May. Can't say exactly as I took great pleasure destroying the warrants.

I'm not far from retirement age and enjoy a quiet life so I keep nothing here now. I feel it's about time to move to another state.

qld has the least strict of all canna laws in oz ... fact. I know of people who have not been locked away after several raids and several crops being confiscated ..... i know a few ozzy growers ....

Can't agree with you on that. It actually has similar laws to other states. For example, from the NCPIC website:
"Queensland

Police officers in Queensland offer someone the option of diversion if they are found in possession of up to 50 grams of cannabis. This is the only state in which diversion must be offered to a minor cannabis offender – elsewhere, it is up to the police officers whether or not they offer diversion or charge the offender. The diversion includes a mandatory assessment and brief intervention program. Only one offer of diversion is allowed per person."

I know someone who got offered this diversion. I also personally know of someone who got caught for cultivation and only got a fine. No conviction recorded.
Whether or not this changes under the new conservative government remains to be seen.

Still finding the 12 cop plus dog story hard to believe. Anyone else in QLD had similar treatment?

ermmm in qld its only local magistrates court up to 49 plants .... where is it similiar elsewhere ? ..... commercial is over 100.... where is it the same elsewhere ?

So I waited a few mths to see what happened and no visits. So I fired up my tent and 6 weeks into it ( this morning) I got a loud knock it was the cops. Found my grow tent and about 3 os. ****s left lots of shit tho pretty fucked up search. So now I'm sitting at home thinking I shoulda beleived these guys who have been busted for ordering seeds
Because I'm one of them. Wish i had some buds so I could stop badbuzzing. O and I know it was for seeds because the search warrant specified not just cannabis. But also cannabis seeds

Frack bro I'm sorry you had to go through that, I hope your able to get some of these lighter sentences that the other members have been mentioning, get the best lawyer you can get and make yourself informed about the Queensland Laws regarding what you've been busted with and what charges are going to stick.

Sorry for the late reply guys. And yes they were addressed to me and my old house I moved though it was only a lil 250 watt setup for purse
OrdeRed three times from attitude and all intercepted. About 80 seeds from them. Herbies and SOS both got through first go. It seems silly in hindsight but I was sick of paying top dollar for bottom grade bud. Got five charges coming up but none for supply. They got about 6 halves of different bud they cud tell I'm just a purse smoker. They were ok but still fuckhead showing their guns and shit fuckheads. Starting to badbuzz so I'm gunna go get high. Smoke about an oz a week and I'm dependent I told them I ain't gunna stop smoking and I'm no criminal yet they make me feel and look like one to my neighbors.

Glad to see you back posting mate and no you ain't no criminal in the slightest but those frackers will make you out to be one. Sorry to hear about the 5 charges but like you say having the no supply charge is a blessing.
I'm in the same boat with having to medicate because of bad back pain and if I have no herb I have to go and get the bloody pain pills from the doctors and I put that off till I can't cope with the pain anymore.
