Hey Bro.....lookin good over there.....It appears that the coco bitches are beginning to cannibalize themselves of residual N while the 1 in Ocean Forest is still deep green but bigger and fatter.....

Start backin off your juice with anything nitrogen based....even cal/mag......but....

Keep ppm`s constant across the board by uppin your bloom juice to equalize things.....now....

Even though it prolly goes against everything yas`ve learned over the yrs.....Start pullin all the fan leaves off that have a stem ....all of em....

Over the next several days so as not to shock em , but stay after em till they`re all gone and the only fans left are the single finger ones juttin straight out the colas.....Why ?.....

It allows all vital plant energy and juice useage in later flower to be focused on swellage and not keepin nuthin ass fans alive that aren`t needed that`ll shrivel up and drop off the plant anyways given enough time and nitrogen depletion till end of cycle....Anyways.....just tryin ta help my buddy.....

Proud yas`re back around Bonz....and....

Peace.....Freds......:ying:

yo DHF, what week do you recommend pullin the big fan leaves? i have always wondered when i should pull if at all...some people get thier panties in a bunch with you talk about pulling the fans bc they say they provide the buds with nutes and food.

would love some more insight into your reasoning...should i pull every fanner that isnt sugarleaf?

Way back when several yrs ago , I got talked into strippin off all the fans @ day 21 and again @ day 45 flower by Jrosek and it stunted the FUCK outta my clone only Chem D`s and cost me an extra 2 weeks recovery and finish time makin my cycles 12 weeks instead of 10 for the same results weight/yield wise , and I dawgcussed him .....

He said I did it wrong , but horsefuck.....I finally figured out after the last flip room finished that this shit`s "strain dependent" and started playin with it....and....

When the plants are COMPLETELY finished stretchin and backed up into full swellage mode and hormonal changes......THEN....

Start gettin rid of all the fans gradually over several days till all that`s left are the single fingers juttin out the colas till end of cycle , and ......it improves swellage and gets rid of wasted plant matter that`s gonna drop off eventually anyways...and yeah....

Forever and a day we`ve been taught that the big fans are photo receptors/solar panels to "help" the buds swell and to be left alone and allow em to yellow off and fall naturally with proper nitrogen depletion , but....

IME....Dead shit on the floor is natural breedin grounds for all kinds of molds , mildews , algaes , and airborn pathogen nasties to proliferate and fuck with the plants in late flower when there`s already mega humidity in the air from swollen nuggage , and to gotten the fuck outta the rooms for obvious reasons....anyways.....

Hope that helps budman....

totally helps my friend,

like you mentioned, we've been taught that they are photocells or energy panels that fuel the plant.

so for a 10week plant prolly start strippin them around week 7ish?

full swellage is typically the last four weeks of flowering?

oh yeah, DHF, enjoy the furthur stream tonight: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/taperrob

Stretch has been scientifically proven to be 40% of each individual plant`s flower cycle......so.....on a 10 week strain , 4 weeks is comprised of explosive foliage and rootmass growth , and then.....

Hormones change and roll over into full swellage mode , and the last 5-6 weeks strain dependent , will show foliage and rootmass slowed to all but no production with the onset of budset , calyxes , and pistils forming......then....

It`s safe to start gettin rid of unneeded fan leaves with a stem......

Go check out Cannastats....world of info out there for intermediate as well as new growers......

Good stuff Fred...

STRAIN DEPENDENT...fred is allways talkin bout it and it is absolutely right on...freds also talkin about DIALAGE and these 2 go hand in hand...same strain can look and act fairly different in different setups...mediums...systems...so...gettin' to know ur girls is allways imperitive for consistent harvests and maximizing numbers...

OGRE hardly stretches at all...lot like Bubba...gotta get to know em...

transplanting OGRE cuts today and hopefully reloading cloner with a buncha new ones...

So...i hydrated 2 blocks of coco with the IMID...let sit for 3 days...today i drilled a bunch a holes in a tote...filled it with IMID treated coco and rinsed with the hose...then i filled individual 8" net pots and dunked them in an RO/SM90 bath PH'ed to 6.0...

i mixed a bunch of it at 3 to 1 coco/perlite...the rest will be used for moms...left strait...for blumats....yup, gonna try the blumats with mums...

Cody supervising :)

then i potted up all the OGRE cuts...

most of these cuts came from one of the big moms...the one that fell apart...i kinda took em to just see if the cloner was workin right...i added prolly 15 healthier ones from the big girls just before they got flipped...so alot of em are pretty week...all had roots..some better than others...i fed with a 400 ppm grow mix that included a bit of cal mag, sm90, and root excellurator...im not gonna pussy-foot around with the slower weeker ones at this point...only the strong survive...

tomorrow clean the cloner and take cuts of Green Crack, Cheese, Killer Queen and Blue Dream...oh and figure out what to do with the AK, Casey Jones and DSD seed plants...need to figure out which ones are male and female...

Lol... yeah, dont kno why but thought u were in the d...??? Guess that sess w hv to wait... ;-)

But totally... i tried the oil instead... c if that works on the mite eggs... did it at 1.25% w ro for the hydration and will kind c if that works to deter populations... just want to avoid the imid, esp w plants in pots, tho i dont quite kno if imid works on eggs as an ovicide...? Think any bugs that we might get thru the bales has to be in a hard egg that can withstand the compression and dehydration. Shall c tho my xplants r in 500ml pots of promix so they arent exactly clean. Oh well.

Hope all is well brother! Peace

The ogre pic on the last page looks amazing. As well as the macro on this page, very impressive... how does she yield? I love that coloring in the macro, does it get purple like it kind of looks like? So glad to hear things are doing better. :) :woohoo:

Howdy Miway!

A friend of mine has fought and won battles with mites with nothin but neem...luckily (knock on wood) no mites yet...except if those lil bugs runnin' around were soil mites? I think i will continue to pre-treat with IMID as a preventative...

thanks mang!

oh man thats my kinda snack haha

dude that GC looks fire:dance013:

I can imagine the concentrates that will make :woohoo:

Dro

yes indeed Dro! thats a helluva pic eh?

the GC is a workhorse producer...and shes fast....shes gettin knocked up for sure! A friend of mine used to run her on tables...2# plus per light like butta! like i said im excited about her...

what it is Shorts!

thanks dude! shes startin' to get frosty for sure...OGRE is never short in the department...she can get colorfull...i have some pics of her showin' allmost orange and purples...shes allways been what i would consider a medium yielder...but dense nugs...this will not be a good representation of what she can do....dude...the smell...the smell is what gets ya with ogre...its damn near makes my eyes water...its so sour...tart...allmost medicinal...Lemon pinesol...im no good at describing smells...this one is hard...no skunk...no rotting meat...no fruit...its allmost offensive when ya get your nose right up in it...i would like to cross her with some sort of sweet sativa...have my eye on a couple things :)

WOW to that Ogre!!! impressive pic.
gratz dude...

all teh good vibes from Brazil to yer ladies man.

Howdy and welcome Gremista! thanks vary much! positive vibrations from SoCal!!
