Thanks mugenbao The first round got put into jars today, I'm happy they were able to dry a full 7 days, it's normally very dry in my area but the humidity has been around 50%
It's been a very strange and exciting year for me. Haven't done a grow since last summer, and I'm very sorry for leaving everyone hanging without a harvest report. I got a bit jaded on pretty much everything and was lost in my head up until a couple months ago.
But life these days is good! Just got back from a three week trip to Mexico, and have really been enjoying all the different parts of my life!
I'm still smoking on last summers harvest so I need to take pictures of it for yall to wrap up last years grow. It was a good harvest! kept me happy all year. Should even last till this summers harvest is ready! Got some emergency ounces in the freezer haha.
Downsized the grow this year back to my 8' x 10' greenhouse. The things starting to fall apart. I'm gonna need to seal up the doors somehow as they don't fully zip anymore, and I want to avoid as many caterpillars / moths as possible.
I'm using 4 100 gal pots filled to about 55 gallons each maybe a little more. My mix consists of 50% black gold just coir, 30% coarse perlite, %10 EWC, and %10 really good compost.
Before transplanting I soaked the pots with an alfalfa tea, two days after transplanting I watered with a compost tea. The ladies have gotten nothing but water while I was gone. they were transplanted 24 days ago.
Brewing an alfalfa tea to feed with tomorrow, maybe a guano tea will happen towards the end of the week.
Feels good to be back, I'll try and get some nug shots from last year up ASAP. For now lets start this year off with some pics! The sh!t has hit the fan again
PS, if for some reason you think I should start a new thread instead of continuing last years, let me know.
Got 12 new raised beds installed this year, corn, tomatoes, melons, squash, zucchini, pretty much everything you can think to plant this time of year!! The amount of growth that happened in the three weeks I was gone was astonishing to come back too
J-One, my favorite plant to watch grow. She stinks and grows oh so fast. When I left she was the runt of the group, now shes the biggest! Tied her down today to keep her from popping through the roof over the next few weeks.
Heres the shoreline, My friend who gifted me this cut says it yields terribly indoors, he wanted to see how it would do outside, she's the slowest grower in the group, so i suspect similar results.... Stem rub produces a delicious fruity floral smell though, the nugs i've seen are absolutely beautiful and the smoke is good. we'll see how she fares once we get her some food.
Romulan!! A sturdy champion of a plant. tied her down today as well, can't wait to watch this one bush out!!!!
Blue Dreams, I don't care what people say about this plant being played out, she's still one of my favorites and has been for years! A pleasure to smoke and grow. (twins, just like last year!)
Group shot!!
PS I have some supplemental lighting in there on from midnight to six in the morning. Will cut it out towards the middle / end of july pending plant growth. (The shoreline looks like it really wants to flower already, but everything else is vegging nicely)
Well until next time my friends, keep it durdy, and once again it's nice to be back
Been alternating between alfalfa, guano, and compost teas.
Heres my alfalfa tea recipe from the 3LB
this is for 4 gallons of tea
2 cups alfalfa meal
1 tsp / gal of earth juice catalyst
Bubble for 12 - 18 hours
then add another 4 gallons of water (8 gallons total now)
as well as 1TB / gal molasses.
Bubble for 18 - 24 hours
Should be nice and foamy, water plants with tea
Heres the veg mix I've been using with the guano teas
1/3 cup peruvian seabird guano
1/3 c mexican bat guano
1/3 cup EWC
5tsp liquid kelp
2 TSP / gal humic acid
I put the EWC in a knee high stocking, and the guanos directly in the water.
I bubble for 24 hours then water the plants.
For my compost tea
I fill a knee high stocking with equal parts compost and EWC then also add a handful of kelp meal and a handful of Alfalfa Meal.
I fill the trash can I make teas in halfaway and bubble for 12 hours then fill it up all the way and add 5 - 6 oz of Molasses and bubble for another 24 hours. The trash can holds about 16 - 18 gallons of water.
All is going well in the greenhouse. Ran out of peruvian seabird guano and have been having a hard time locating some more but found a place and will be picking it up tomorrow!
Been making teas with Indonesian guanos, fish emulsion, and molasses.
Hello, it's been extremely hot! but the gals seem to be doing fine.
A water pipe burst at my house this morning so no agua for the garden today. They look a bit thirsty but nothing serious. Everything should be back in line tomorrow.
