How do you start large amounts of seeds outdoors

Looks like a good route to go. A small tent with the rain fly removed to give some diffuse light inside. I'm sure you can rig up a wick or something to keep the pucks moist.

I don't think anyone needs to be gassing ground for a seedling bed, either. The agent used is methalbromide = bromomethane; most of the world has quit using it at all. It is known to be detrimental to atmospheric ozone, is a carcinogen, and has other detrimental effects on human physiology. There is absolutely no reason why you would need this stuff to start your cannabis.

You know, I have to agree with you about the gassing.
The unfortunate side of things is that gassing was the only time I ever encountered such a massive guerrilla grow.
Choppers flew over all the time, and I suppose they thought it was only another of hundreds of tobacco/lettuce beds in the area.
Just trying to stick with what I know vs what I think. :ying:

I can see that, good way to blend in. Maybe you could mock up a bed without the gas. Not much burley being grown these days though.

I have a theory of how I'm going to do it, when I finally get in a position (next year, probably) to finally do a Julian style massive outdoor grow. I'm lazy though (and paranoid) and I don't want to spend all that time out in the woods running loudass hole diggers, nor do I want to carry flats of clones to laboriously plant in the ground. My idea was to use seed bombs, soaked in wolf and fox urine, which would repel 95%+ of the likely predators away from it. In the case of animals such as deer this will likely cause them to change their browsing habits and avoid the cannabis field altogether, if seedballs are scattered at the right time early in the season when these habits are being established.

I figure just go out in a section of woods and scatter the things all around, once or twice a week for a couple months. I bet a lot of them would sprout and grow, certainly way more than just throwing out seed. For bonus points use feminized seed; feminized autoflowering if you really want to see magic happen.

Hungry animals aren't a problem in the heavily forested/grassy area I live in....they got plenty of other food to eat. Neither are bugs. IMO if you're having to spray your plants with pesticides to keep them alive and producing, maybe you should be running a different strain.
