I checked on the diesel pheno this morning and she is nearly ready. I will let her go the weekend and then chop. I'm a little nervous about the high getting stronger as it's already devastating, but that's a dumb thing to worry about I guess. The last time I sampled her I'm fairly certain I flew through time and passed out on the couch. I was still sparkly-eyed the next morning, lol. I get the spins just thinking about it.
The other pheno is still growing so who knows when she'll finish. I sampled her last night and she tastes great, like sweet lavender with floral notes. The high is very nice but not amazing. It's a slightly heavy sativa effect with some body. The body reminds me of the OG from the same family, just not as strong, while the head is dreamy and slightly confusing. The potency will probably increase, and although she doesn't pack nearly the punch of her sister, she is definitely more relaxing.

hey all, sorry for the lack of updates!
i did harvest both phenos. pheno #1 went about 75-78 days, while the other i chopped at around 85. she could have gone longer.
i didn't have huge expectations for yield, as i flowered when they were still recovering from overwatering and both females ended up on either side of the lamp, thus the "sweet spot" was not utilized. also, for half of flowering they were about 4-5 inches too far below the light.
all in all this run was about 20 grams, maybe a few more because I took a bunch of tasters
it's not terrible but i can surely improve next round.
the best part is, potency is fantastic and I found an amazing keeper in #1. i'm in the process of revegging her, i'll take a few clones and grow them out proper next time.
stay tuned for a smoke report from each, pheno 1 is surely a fearsome smoke; pheno 2 is awesome by any standards but doesn't quite measure up in comparison.

Dude this was sweet, truly a masterpiece. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that you are an engineer! Anyway, I noticed you have a few white LEDs. Correct me on this one, but isn't the white light from LEDs made by combining red, blue and green? If this is the case, then aren't you better off using ONLY red and blue, since the green is mostly reflected by the plants?

ralenti, thanks so much, I'm not actually an engineer (but sometimes I think like one). The reason for the whites is to "fill in the gaps" spectrum-wise, since we don't know exactly what different strains of cannabis need to flower properly. They emit a pretty solid spectrum over red/orange/green/yellow which is why I use them. There's actually some evidence that plants absorb some green light (deep within the leaf) and may use small amounts of of other colors as well.

hi tgif, the RAID box hasn't been used yet except for drying, although I'm confident it will be enough to at least keep mother plants alive.

If i can i wanna make some questions: first about watering.. you use the blumat auto-watering system..it looks good... but is interesting for me to know how many water is needed for your girls... how often you refill your reservoir and what is the it's capacity?
Second.. your lighting system looks very nice.. but is fixed in height or adjustable ?

Hey greenzick, I refill once every few days... It holds about a liter. The led lamp is fixed--bolted to the ceiling. Thanks for the kind words and check out my new thread!

Since you were very helpful in my other thread, I was wondering if you could confirm whether these LEDs are the same as the ones you used, the voltage and current seems slightly off on the spec sheet? but I couldn't find any matching yours
