man, i have a pack of LP1, LP2, and 2 of santa marta. i wonder if their even worth the hassle, i had planned on making f2's of all as well. but i dunno now.
about the nigerian nightmare is it really able to grow without cultivation, like toss some seeds near a creek and forget them? i know the product probably wouldn't be at its best but thats beside the point.

The LP#1's are like gold.........those are definitely worth growing out and looking for a keeper.
Why wouldn't they be? I didn't read entire thread but issues with germination?
I picked up a pack of LP#1 last month from a head shop in Austria, hoping they are viable. I have some LP F2s, some (I believe) authentic Colombian Gold seeds, and a few other landrace that I hope to eventually work. Would like to mix the Colombian genetics I have and see what's what.
i wasn't impressed with blackseed. tossed. my accidental hazes popped 2 years ago but i had to make a hard cull decision and since i still had 5 ah beans i culled them. now when i tried to pop them ( last 5#) just recently none popped. accidental haze is redpoint columbian-red haired mex which is very close to cannabiogen's male used in destroyer. ah is awesome according to every smoke report (4#) i've found on it. the strain seems to pair very well with extreme sativas resulting in real nice bud structure formation, great high , etc.. i've got one smcg/mazar i shariff hybrid going now. too early to tell. seems to me like good idea to maintain any reef genetics asap 'cause lots of his seed stock is old.

Yes, all of Reef's beans still out there for sale are at least 2+ years old and many are older than that. I think Harmony was the last thing he did and made available. He talked up this strain because it was really the only thing he had available at the time. Many people have reported sprouting issues with most of his stuff the last few years so if you can get a 20-30% sprout, I'm guessing you'll make out ok.
I have hundreds of Reefs seeds sat in the cooler, including LP1, WN, BT Etc etc from way back. Struggled to get ANY to pop
I think they are all done , if they were ever viable to start with.
If anyone thinks they can germ them, let me know, I'll send you some to play with.
There are some people using his SMCG in crosses.

had good and bad luck with RMS. his hashplant lines were total shit. terrible germ rates and no potency. many people loved his Gsus but i had terrible results i dont think i ever flowered my Gsus
i did however germ 20 Blue Thunder seeds and got 14 females, many purple including the completely purple/lavender pheno. i still havent gotten over the loss of that mother.
Also the G13 x Blueberry Sativa was spectacular, i remember a couple people said it was the best they smoked.

Really, anyone who would consider growing anything from Reeferman these days should have their head examined. It's been a few years now that he's done anything to speak of, and his reputation is totally shot with seed re-sellers and growers alike. The buzz around is he's all washed up....... but he seems to pop up every once in awhile with some new project/genetics/partner/etc.

I wish I could get the packs I have left to sprout but out of the 6 or 7 strain packs I have left, I'm 0 for 22 on my last run. I think they are past their prime although they are well kept and refrigerated. Actually come to think about it, I was only getting around 50% sprouting when they were new so it's no surprise.
My Harmony was recently bought in the last year or so........maybe I'll give that one last try!

yea we had decent luck with his work pre-06...07, 08 got a lil loose...since 09 or 2010 its been very inconsistent...his work seems very random anymore as well..He worked/had access to some wonders tho..who knows whats up anymore..but I'll only use mid 2k or prior of his work myself..gl

Reef had a lot of interesting stuff. He had several land race or IBL genetic lines I wanted. His hybrids were hit or miss. And his marketing was sketchy regarding true parentage. But he had some gems too.
The guy always seemed a bit hyper. His posts read like a 12 year old on Adderall wrote them, peppered with LOL!, no periods or commas and jumpy.
I wonder what he's up too. Kushes I heard, but who knows?
