8x200 smart-pots, Organic first time outdoor medical garden.

Hello,

So I am a first time outdoor grower this year. I have been doing indoors for a bit and this is my first attempt at an outdoor garden, as well as my first attempt at a fully organic garden.

We have 18 200 gallon dirt bags made by hydrofarm. They are similar to smart pots. The soil mix is great! It's topsoil, green waste and farm animal manure compost, castings, pumice, rice hulls, chicken manure, dolomite lime, mushroom compost compost, garden humus, and peat moss. The bottoms of the planters have much richer soil than at the top.

We got most of the clones on May 5th and for the most part haven't had many problems. I under watered them a bunch at first because i wasn't used to the giant planters. So they are probably about a week or so stunted in growth.

The strains we have are Skunk Chunk, Blackberry Kush, Lemon Kush, Cherry Pie, Black Domina, Ultra Skunk, Sensi Star, Master Kush, Headband, and J-1.

I am giving them water that has been set out and aerated for at least 6-12 hours to remove chorine and PH'ed to around 6.0.

When they were little we gave them some simple worm casting AACT with EWC and Molasses. Now they get a more rich veg AACT with liquid humid acid, EWC, Compost, Liquid Kelp Extract, Fish Emulsion, Molasses and just a bit of SN-14 added in after brewing for some additional Nitrogen. They have had foliar feedings of compost tea, kelp extract, fish emulsion, and SN-14 at various times.

Also they get a weekly spraying with Azamax to aid in keeping the bugs away, They also get sprayed with water almost every morning to knock off any bugs from overnight. We have also used insecticidal soap twice also when we started to see some thrips. They garden floor gets sprayed with a 20% canola oil solution to kill the weeds and the bugs.

The plants have been doing well so far. We got most of them into the 200 gallon planters around the 1st, dusted the roots with great white when we did. One of the Black Dominas went into flower and we can't get it to come out so I think we are going to pull it out and put it in a 20 gallon planter and just bring it in so it only gets 12 hours of sun and just keep it in flower. Then put a different plant in that hole.

Here are some pictures of the plants as babies and a couple weeks ago how they were earlier today, also a pic of Black Domina that is in Flower.

Yeah I pulled out the only plant of mine that went into flower due to early planting. It was WW x BB I believe. Good Luck! Don't forget about lots of waterings of low strength organic fertilizer early on, they help a lot.

Hello again,

boobs, the first two pics are from earlier in the last month and the last three are from yesterday, right before i posted.

skullz, I definitely set myself back a bit at the beginning because I didn't water them nearly enough, but they are happy now, marking 1/2 to full inch of growth per day.

Hello everyone.

So since our last photo session, we have taken the flowering black domino out of the 200g and put it into a 15 gallon smart pot and are going to light dep it and give it some earth juice bloom notes since i don't want to make tea for one plant. It should provide some smoke.

The ladies all look happy. Some of the blackberry kush branches on one plant look sorta stunted but they are growing out of it.

Without much ado here are the photos for you. including the "water reservoir" hooked up to garden hose and the tea brewer.

Nice strains you got, and nice garden nice, and roomy to do work, and have individual alone tyme wit tha ladies, he, he. Im heading outdoors myself, after much learning indoors. But I still do my very simple basic runs Every other feed earth juice, and just worm poo molasass, I remineralize my soil run it through worm bin with lots of fruits, banana peels, egg shells, and rock dust-limestone,gypsum, and phosphate powder, I used it on some veggies, and peppers too, and this time round I got frickin monsters going, not many bug issues, which I say is from their natural defenses from all the minerals, and tea being used.

As good as my smoked taste indoor under bad conditions, I cant wait to see some sun grown smoke. I like your set up, not too big, not to small, just right, keep it up!

learning.

learning.

I am learning lots of things with this first year outdoor. I really wish the plants were a lot bigger by now, but they are trucking along. my goal, since its my first outdoor was only to get an average of 1 pound per plant and i think we will get it.

It was windy as fuck and blew one of the plants over a couple days ago, we tied her up a bit and she looks happy now.

these pics are from yesterday evening.

Keep on trucking

Hi IC friends,

sorry for the lack of posts, been making a lot of BHO and experimenting with varying amounts of heat in between vac purges, not sure what i have learned other than that i can make some good wax that is as good or better than anything from the clubs but i feel like i can still be improving. But lately i have been in a fog of testing batches.

here are a few pics of the ladies.
