I found UK Livers to have a really unique terepene profile - very old school. Kinda like a mix between old shoe leather and polish - with a slight sweet funk. Break it up and it stings your nostrils a bit with a bit of light berry or fruitiness. Indeed unique herb.

Noticed she didn't care heavy ferts much either...and does just fine without them.

looks really dank frank, blues is one of the nicer smelling strains, i get what you mean about the shoe polish smell., i kinda find the whole blueberry cheese smell a bit generic now though, every man and his dog is growing blue cheese round my way atm. Or at least anything smelly is being called blue cheese, lol.

hey e4ian how goes it brother, that blue meanie is lush, how long does she take to flower in soil?.:tiphat:

I know what he was referring too...and still....word is "held"...

No, I have not seen the BlueMeanie...

I'm across the pond fwiw - so it's not very likely I will either...lol. The opportunity to run Livers for a bit was simply too good to resist - I enjoyed my time with her.

Broad mite cannademic -2012- may she rest in peace... ;)

not to ruffle any ones feathers, i'm no history expert, but living close to the area of origin, i always believed the blues and livers to be different strains.

Anyways, i'm running some blues and blue meanie over the summer so i'll add some pictures in this thread in a couple of months.

Peace mitch

elevator man knows his shit, hes a ledgend. can i just say the blues and livers are the same cut, i think people have tried to claim they have one or the other then once realiseing 2 people have different plants they conclude one must be livers and the other the blues, to save arguement. we all know how many fake blues have been about over the years.

I have friends who have grown the blues recently (myself included), but another friend a few years ago now that had the livers. Blues is nice and fruity but the livers was more powerful, zombifying, can't keep your eyes open because your that caned type of smoke.

ive beenhanded psycoberry as the blues b4 lol, zombifiying.

i collected every so called blues cut a couple of years ago, ended up with killerskunk, blueberry cheese and a few others. i did find the blues in the end, or at least closest to the pics.

From the uk clone only thread:

There's a few different versions - the 'blues' is the blueberry-smelling one, but I don't think it is Blueberry really, possibly an old NL - my friend grows it, and I'm going to get a cut soon, and run it against some f3s of some old DJ Short Blueberrys I've sprouted recently - allegedly from the '97 Delta 9 collection.
The 'livers' is another, danker, more earthy version of my 'Mystery Strain', or 'the smelly one', which has a more acetone, fruity solvent smell, and is very potent, and they've both been around since at least '92. There's been endless speculation about the origins of those clones for years - other candidates for them may be M39 or a really nice NL#5...:chin:
