Is it safe to work at a dispensary? What if I'm at work when they get raided? Should I take the job? What are the risks? Seems like a lot of dispensaries are getting raided in Northern california

if you have a grow at home you dont really want to work for them as when they get busted they might well search all the employees houses. stopped working for a grow shop years back for the same reason.

I go with this one-- I don't think I have ever heard of anyone except Owners, or possibly a couple Managers, having Charges filed on them--

Hmmmm.... stay safe bro... that dream job could become a nightmare, due to circumstances way beyond YOUR control... particularly if you are growing yourself... or have some biz on the side. Dispensary owners are merciless about loyalty...

Another aspect is the giant looming threat of your ass being on the premises when the shit goes down; you could be arrested, and at the very least hassled and labeled a 'person of interest' by LEO.

I think the last thing ANYONE wants to be is a 'person of interest' because you will then be studied, scrutinized, investigated, watched, possibly invaded at home etc. Not to mention that BIG file LEO will start assembling about you...

That 'golden key of opportunity' could be a wonderful thing, or a disaster...but it always seems that whatever happens, it is someone else's fault...

Be careful and keep your eyes wide open.

I worked at one here in Colorado for a bit over a year, then things went fucked and the city shut em all down. Grew at the same time, and when we opened a 2nd location I got a bunch of close friends (male and female) jobs. Never once worried about safety/freedom while working there, but it was also a legit joint, well within the law, and we were all absolute paperwork nazis.
Wierdest thing that ever happened was cops (obviously cops, moosestash, aviators, cop build, holster walk etc.) would come in with effed up or no paperwork and try to buy...Told em GTFO lol

It was an awesome opportunity, met tons of cool folks, and learned a bunch. Go for it. Not to mention we would just rip the vape in the back room all day, gotta love how clean air/no smoking laws don't apply to vapor lol.

Life is a daily risk but you can add to the risk by the things you do and the way you live. Jails are full of people that didnt think they were breaking the law. And the people that you meet and those working with you can be some of the biggest freaks. If you are worried about risk you should not even consider it. Any place where your name and address appear in our world puts you at some risk right now or later. As an employee you are likely to just be harassed and scared into helping the law make a case against your employer.

Yea I originally thought this idea would be the perfect job. Now I see it as others do, probably a good job, but a catastrophe waiting to happen to your personal life.
