Hey Peat glad you stopped by. How you been man? Whatcha growin these days? Oh and I'm glad to see you've liked that avatar enough to keep it for so long.

lol chop demi moore bush, you wanna see some craziness I did with my Godberry x Grapefruit bonsai mother plant I had a few years ago, let's see if I can put the link to the album up.... https://www.icmag.com/ic/album.php?albumid=13127 I hope that link works. as far as a bush goes I love making giant bush plants. This was one of the last big bushes I did and I think it yielded me 112 grams on the nose despite me stealing a branch here and there the last couple of weeks, her having pm and some root loss from sitting in stagnant water in a box in a moving truck for several days(was earlier in veg) in cold weather(november) and only being flowered under the 400w
picture.php

It was a challenge at times to keep the canopy even
picture.php

the open space under the canopy really helped with good airflow.
picture.php

Her root mass got much bigger than this when she finished, she literally filled a 5g bucket top to bottom, of course she was drinking about 1.5 gallons of water a day
picture.php

Yeah I miss growing bushes, but I just don't have the time to veg like that anymore.

Okay for today's update.

Raised the lights on room temp. from 74.5 - 75.2F to 76.8 - 77.5F.

Finally cleaned the tent. Solid spray and wipe down 10% bleach mix

I topped GrandBerry and I decided to give it some extra arms out of the gate, instead of having each arm start out with two tops two arms have 4 tops and one has 3 tops, honestly though one of the 4 top arms will have one of the tops removed making it two 3 top arms and one 4 top arm

I like this picture
picture.php

A good view of the topping, if some of the leaf blades seem in odd positions, remember they randomly bounce around from the circulation fans.
picture.php

They are squished in there but there is 4, and should be ready to be topped again in a couple of weeks.
picture.php

Pulled her straight a little bit to get a better shot of how many are on the arm.

Unfortunately the best shot I got of how even she is the back of the plant was what was in focus, that's what I get for being lazy and auto focusing.

Hello hello again, hmmm where to start. Let's see after seeing the state of the cut my buddy was trying to give me, there was no way I was going to subject my stuff to that. It had mites(no worries there, I can rid those easy enough in quarantine, but along with mites it had powdery mildew, a severe deficiency issue, lord only knows what else was going on with that poor thing. Needless to say, the headache was not for me, chronic old school strain or not.

The DSD cuts aren't quite ready yet, they should be ready later this week. OH and plants number 2 and 4 are male and either 1 or 5 is looking like it's male too I can't remember which one now.

Getting another medi card from a friend, she needs the smoke real bad right now, as she's going through another round of chemo for the next 6 weeks, then she has a month off then another 10 weeks I think it was. So I gave her a chunk of my stash. Unfortunately I'll be out well before harvest (late July), but I still feel better knowing she'll be able to stomach down some chow(Marinol just doesn't work for her, it makes her dizzy, light headed and she occasionally faints). As soon as I get her paperwork I'll be able to flower an additional 15 plants, starting next flower.

Got the 818 Headband, Blackwater 1 and 2 back
picture.php

The Grandberry is coming along well. In the next day or so I'll trim up the insignificant growth to expedite her growth for next weeks topping
picture.php

It's hard at this point to even see that there is 4 tops on this branch.
picture.php

I forgot to mention that when I bent the arms down that I rolled the husk to get her to knot up to help support the branches extra weight when she flowers. I'll get some better pictures of the knots later, it was late and I was tired, and not really feeling the picture thing.

Hey DTF, glad to have you along for the ride. A little slow atm but it'll pick up eventually, I may even throw random flower room pics in from time to time to keep it interesting.

Okay well let's start out with the Grandberry part of the update.

Thinned her out so she could breath a little bit, took one sub branch off of one arm, so it's 4-4-3 now, still leaning to take another one off but I'll wait till next weeks topping to see if it catches up.

Much easier to see that there are 4 arms now.
picture.php

Even a little easier to see from above.
picture.php

If you notice two of the arms are a little close to each other, so I'm going to spread them apart. I have to be careful doing this as there is already a decent amount of tension on the arms, I would hate to break a arm off.

Now some bad news, well more crushing to me at least, because I feel crushed about it. Double Strawberry Diesel plants 1-5 are all males, and it's looking like #6 is going to be male as well. Only a couple times have all my seedlings turned male, now I know I didn't throw 50 beans or anything like that only 6 but still I was so looking forward to these. Sooooo took 1-5 out the flower room and trashed em, leaving #6 in for a few more days just to make sure. Killed all the clones of 1-5 as well, kept one clone of #6. Regardless of its orientation it is the most uniform of the bunch, has the most odor and was one the plants I was most looking forward to. So even if it does turn male, which I'm pretty sure it will, I'll still have a what I believe to be a solid male for some pollen chucking down the line. I still have 4 more beans so if the gods shine on me at least one of those will be a female, and I can back cross it to make more beans. Honestly though I just don't know when I'll get back around to those 4 beans, and it'll suck to water down the genes with another strain, but what am I to do, take the hit, dump the 25g worth of soil and move on.

Okay here it is.
picture.php

Other news, a couple of the black water clones labels became impossible to read, as they start to grow it should be relatively easy to determine which is which, not that it really matters all that you see here will be flowered in this 2x4 box starting early to mid July. These will stay in this tray for roughly the next month. I'll be keeping them very small, giving them several tops, and they will become quite rootbound, to the point where they need to be watered daily with nutes, requiring regular flushing. Onward.

The three in the brown pots are the mother plants if you didn't know.

Thanks NZ and killer. I do what I can, but the cool training on the grandberry mom comes when it's about time to flower her.

Well it's been a crazy, crazy, CRAZY last week almost a week and a half. A friend went in the hospital(had to house sit) I got a several hundred dollar vet bill(not unexpected but still), a very unexpected death in a friends family(very sad and way too young, 28), oh and another friend was watching t.v. and a police chase landed in his living room, literally(had to go help him put boards up in the car size hole in his living room, we had a good laugh when I asked if he was watching cops while this all happened, but it wasn't funny since his daughter was on the couch with him. My stash ran out to top it all off. :(

Anyway update, we'll start off with the Grandberry plant. She was topped right before I left to house sit. Some branches weren't tall enough to be topped yet, so they did not get topped. She now has 21 tops. There will be time to top one more time early next week, which should bring her close to 40 heads.

Moved the branch over to more evenly space her, but made the tops uneven so a second brace was required to keep them even
picture.php

I've removed all the larger fan leaves to expedite growth. Looks pretty clean though.
picture.php

And a half okay picture of one of the knots on the bend of one of the arms.
picture.php

Threw in a picture of the base of the arms.

Next up we got the would be mother plants. So now that flowering is half over the winners and losers of these three are starting to be determined, though a final judgement won't be in till it's time to smoke.

First is the BlackWater 1 mother. This is looking to be the clear winner of the two Blackwater plants, the noding is much better, and at week 5 the plant and buds are beginning to turn a dark purple. I topped this plant, and she will not be topped again. She'll just be grown out at this point, if she is chosen to stay, I'll top her again in the future.
picture.php

Next is the blackwater 2 mother plant. This plant is wild, just wild, hard to control, its noding sucks, far spaced, stretch was out of control, she's not purpling up at all yet, doesn't look like she's going to yield much at all, and the plant has next to no odor and there is no strength in the stems at all, and has needed to be supported on many levels of the flowering plant. The one good trait is how incredibly fast the plant grows. Honestly I just want to throw her away now, BUT I'll wait until the final verdict comes in.
picture.php

Finally is the 818 Headband. I dunno why but I just love this plant. She is so uniform in her growth, very tight compact noding, decent odor so far, not super duper frosty, but more and more trichs are forming everyday. Her buds are tight and compact. She would make a perfect Sea of green plant. There's nothing super wow yet with this plant but the last couple weeks is where I think she's going to really shine. I'm still excited about this plant. Same with the blackwaters she was topped once and I'll just let her grow out from here until a winner is picked.
picture.php

And here is just some random shot of one of the plants that you'll get to see flower, I think this is a 818 but don't hold me to that, I topped these before the nodes got to develop more fully, but with the amount of soil they are in I just couldn't let the plants get too much bigger before topping. You can see a little light burn coming from the cloner to the 400.
picture.php

Also while I was gone there seems to have been some sort of heat issue but I'm not really sure as I wasn't there day to day to check on them, I'll be checking out the AC most likely tomorrow to make sure it's still running in tip top shape.

And Finally the new comers to be flowered the next run for testing for mothers. Popped three single beans the Critical Kush, Caramelo and the Pineapple Chunk. Unfortunately the Pineapple Chunk bean did not sprout. Oh well. Both the Critical Kush and the Caramelo are Fem beans. I'll give more info about these strains next time I update about them.

Critical Kush
picture.php

Caramelo (one of the first leaves came out kinda funky, hope this doesn't reflect on how the rest of the plant is going to grow)
picture.php

And a group shot of the tent as is now (I'm not sure why this photo loaded so small, I tried reloading it a couple of times but it just wants to be small)
picture.php

Well that's it for now. Catch you later:tiphat:

Well after about a year running my mh bulb nonstop it finally gave out. Had to throw in a hps, until I get around to grabbing a new bulb.
Oh and I was going through some flash drives the other day and found some pictures of a grow I did a couple years ago, I'll throw some of them up later this week.

About a month to go before flowering, time to start the next stage of training on the Grandberry. So let's get started. I'll explain on the way.

Here she is out the tent ready and waiting.

From the side

Couple shots of individual arms
picture.php

As you can see it's getting a little crowded
picture.php

Spreading out the arms and tying them down with my favorite, twist ties. About 1/3rd of the way done.

So yeah this took about an hour to do and had to do it in stages. First lightly tied down all the arms in general positions, then kept going around the plant tightening down each branch making the canopy even, then adjusting arms to keep maximum distance between each head. She will get her final topping most likely Thursday after the 4th, then she will grow out until it's cloning time.

Totally done, had to drill a few new guide holes for this training.
picture.php

A few random looks around the arms.
picture.php

picture.php

picture.php

Is it just me or does the arm on the left look a little lower then the other two, I dunno, I'll have to look again to double check.

Had some gnats make it into the room and wreak a little havoc, they only munched on a couple of the small plants as they haven't had any neem feedings yet, put a filter on my intakes so no new bugs, gotta love summer.
picture.php

The Critical Kush is doing well.
picture.php

And a couple group shots, I've raised the other plants up which I should have done when I first put them in there after they had acclimated to the stronger light.
picture.php

With the sole exception of the Blackwater 2 plant, the canopy is even. All these small plants are going to be given nutrients with their next watering, at this point they are drying at different rates so watering is a daily thing. Also they will be re-potted to 2L on most likely Thursday as well.

Hope all you U.S. people had a happy and safe independence day.

So today I thought I would share a few pictures of an older grow from 2010. I have a ton of pictures from this grow but I thought I would put up just a few. Something to break up the monotony of veggin plants.

It yielded just a hair under 130 grams. I needed to be vegged for a couple more weeks to fill the screen and grow a little further through it. Things were getting backed up in the veg space so it had to be flowered.

This strain is Godberry x Grapefruit, a strain I made myself. I still have beans of these too.

Well no real interest up to this point so haven't posted anything else. I have been continuing taking pictures and now I've accumulated enough pictures for a few updates, spanning over the last few weeks. I'll post an update every couple days till I get it back caught up. Only another week and a half till I flower in this tent, mmmm maybe 2 and half weeks, I dunno.

These are the week of the 5th of July.

The Grandberry mother plant top

The group of leftovers, the future potential mothers, the Kritical Kush and the Caremelo(I don't know what the deal was with the Caremelo but it just stalled, started dying and wouldn't kick back into gear, so I said fuck it and fed it to my dog) I'll try again with it at some point later on.
picture.php

Not used to taking HPS shots so it took a while to get re-used to taking that style of picture. You'll see them improve over the weeks.
picture.php

Well my lumatek finally died, gave me a good 7 years worth of love, so I broke out my backup 400 sunsystem harvest pro until I decide if I want another 400 lumatek or 600. Basically I'm not sure if this little 4'x2' tent can handle the 600 or not. I'll probably just end up getting the 600 but it's still something I want to mull over.
