I`ve been offered 10`s of 1000`s on many many occasions to come visit medville in several legal states and set up warehouse grows , and not once have I gone because it`s the little things that make up a succesful setup , and too many chefs spoil the broth as Mister D so unfortunately found out.....that said....
I`ve tried to sway ALL my GrowBro`s into runnin warehouses with buncha smaller flip rooms runnin perpetually , and some get it , but most don`t.....
The gpw`s and returns just aren`t available with big room setups and megawattage.....period....and...I`ve seen it all....too much lumenloss with not enough overlap even with proper wattage per sq ft due to so many shadows and darkness where light`s lost never to return to the plants....so....
Smaller flip rooms at different locations so as ta not keep all your eggs in 1 basket runnin a month or so behind each other in age ftw IME.......but....
I`m in Hell , not Medville.....and that tends to give folks big balls and budgets that mostly take a looooong time to recoup investments unless runnin perpetual.....and....once they get the big head , yas can`t tell em anything.....Me ?....I`ve always had big balls but buncha paranoia and common sense ta go along with it...Thank the Lord.....

There are so many great tibits in this post, sadly many people without the experience probably won't pick up on them. Ya'll should listen to freds every word like it's the gospel, this man knows his shit backwards and front when it comes to growing. Watched alot of growers with big heads, and big wallets jump in and buy up every miracle bottle in the hydro shop, along with a fast hydro system, the most expensive reflector, bulb, etc. Thought it was just throw a few clones in the system, add water, and presto millionaire. Only to end up with total crop death because they didn't bother to know/follow the rules (MPB anyone?
). Even some who did had problems with their "help" that ended up costing them the operation. On the other hand I know a couple growers that have done the warehouse thing very successfully for many years. I had enough common sense to never try running fast hydro in a warehouse setting, even with small rooms to minimize chances of loosing everything it just isn't worth it on a commerical scale IMO. Especially not when coco and blumats or drippers are damn near bulletproof, and once dialed offer similar growth rates... I lost one crop in RDWC and that was enough for me. Went to promix then on to coco. These vertical racks show the greatest potential for yield I have ever seen, as long as upping plant numbers isn't an issue. I can't wait until me, bobbles, fhc, tommy etc are all dialed in killing it with our various takes on the method. Maybe then people will step up and take notice. Maybe not though too, heath showed us all how to do it how many years ago......

Vertical racks/shelves are babyshit simple once yas wrap yer head around what`s gotta be done for redundancy along with set it and ferget it equipment.....
My flip rooms had angled corners where all the failsafe equipment was mounted and sealed thru the walls in case the lung room environment bein pumped into and sucked out of the rooms got outta control.....with...
Everything that wasn`t green covered in reflectix , including the ceilings to allow lumens to bounce all around the rooms and let the plants absorb at will on demand when things`re hoonin.....I mean....
My setups were simple.....Once the pre-veggers got up-potted to # 5 smartpots and put in the bloom rooms , I had 4 plants on 4 levels on 4 walls and built roots and foliage till end of stretch , and then it was take all fan leaves away a lil at a time till the only leaf left was comin out the colas.....slowly .....so as not to stunt the plants.....
64-1 1/2 oz Clone only ChemD 32" mini X-mas trees +/-finished at all 4 locations over the course of 4 months within grams of each other so....
Not a fluke , and waaaay more room for improvement with plants on the floors I never got to try before shutdown......
Lil over 98 ozs +/- outta 3-600`s stacked with inside area of 6 x 6 runnin perfect environment pumped in and out of the rooms 24/7 along with 50 watts per sq ft during lights on has worked for me and Bro`s on the invite only sites for many many yrs........
Just gotta do what it takes....Stoners never hit the gpw`s....They`re too lazy and want the shit to do it`s thing without em.....anyways....again.....
Feed setups are a big ass pond pump with a Tee and Ball valve above the rez to divert excess flow back down into the rez for dissolved oxygen , but to also allow enough head pressure to feed all 4 levels of plants at the same rate/flow and pressure on EACH level using ball/control valves from bottom to top....
Had 1" cpvc manifolds usin tophat grommets and 1/4" driptubin attached to basket stakes fed once a day till end of stretch and twice per day till end of cycle......simple....babyshit....but...
Yas gotta know your bitches to develop that perfect sidways canopy ftw....so....
Just runs under yer belt.....That`s what builds a green thumb....Got meat on 3 different smokers....Happy Memorial Day weekend guys.....gotta tend shit....

What I was talkin bout as "all-inclusive" treats is from stayin at an Old Head GrowBro`s Beach shack I helped get down there according to him , free of charge with a Roor bong and an oz of his finest headies waitin in the freezer when we get there next Tuesday....
Gonna catch some Billfish and eat as much seafood west coast style that I can stuff in both our lil faces....while...takin it all in lazily and chillin....

Well everyone I survived. Was a very enlightening experience to say the least. I feel refreshed and ready to take on the challenges set forth before me. Nothing all inclusive resort like about where I was, unless you consider all the peyote buttons and ayahuasca tea you can eat/drink. Plus plenty of headies to smoke and other concoctions i've never heard of. Who needs a bed when your feet never touch the ground

DHF - Hope you and your lady have a good time in cabo. I very much enjoyed watching the sun rise and set sitting on the beach. Though I doubt you'll be in the throws of a serious peyote/DMT trip, it's still a beautiful sight to behold. With airport security the way it is these days i'd almost rather drive. On the other hand the 4-5 hours it took to drive deep into the jungle where my friend resides was enough for this old body. Mind is doing just fine btw. Not even close to my first rodeo with psychedelics .
Budman - Ya drank a good amount of ayahuasca tea, ate around 15 buttons, smoked inhuman amounts of herb, and sampled some other concoctions from the medicine man. My mind is still spun, but i'm coming back to reality. Learned allot about myself and feel healed of burdens that have been a great weight on my shoulders. As expected my grobro is also able to walk with light assistance from a cane. He can walk without it completely, but is a bit shaky. Simply remarkable considering he was having trouble walking at all, even with assist of a walker only a few days ago.

. Glad to say I made it in one piece and without any troubles. I'll be stopping by your thread shortly, much catching up to be done.
I'll be doing a more relevant update in the next few days. Most of the rack parts are now painted. As soon I finish i'll build a mock up and snap some pictures. Still fighting the root aphids, though the plants seem to have regained enough health for me to feel comfortable giving them a dose of imid. Debating weather or not to wait until the flowering plants are down so I can toss their media before treating everything. Seems almost pointless to treat just the veg plants, leaving a safe haven for the aphids in the flower room. Suppose I could treat them now, and again once i've harvested. Hmmmmm things to ponder.........

i love DMT...never taken ayahuasca although there is a local 'FAMILY' farm about an hour from me that has weekend shaman retreats twice a year. i havent been but respect a few people that have gone down for the weekend and have reported it was the real deal

Bonz - Pretty damn stoked for MAXIUM BITCHIN AIR FLOW. Actually almost bought an 18" max fan yesterday. They have a lightly used one at my hydro shop for 800 bucks! (Another warehouse success story). Actually curious to see how the max fan stacks up against my dayton blower thats rated for similar cfm. It's pretty quite, but I keep hearing how quite the 14" max fan is. By next week i'll know for sure . Plus I like shiny shit . Was sure I had the cam when I got home, but i've been slipping in and out of reality since I got back. Nothing is for sure right now. Worst case senerio ill buy a new one. Thinking about starting a new thread once all this stuff is in place also. Not sure if I mentioned it earlier or not, but I got a couple more 600's, ushio bulbs, and sockets too.
