Carbon Filters, are the cheap ebay ones any good?

Ive used one off ebay and it did the job perfect there was no odurs.... make sure its re-fillable (not 1 use chuck away) one

I use phat philters. They are cheap, and work well. The cheap ebay ones always worked for a couple of months, but then deep into flower they just did not have the power.
Refiling scubbers is no longer cost effective. You can buy a new scrubber for less then it will cost you to buy enough Carbon to fill the old one...

I have 2 Phat filters. I bought them for the price. A 8x24 and a 6x20. One with an Ecoplus fan and one with a Sunleaves fan. Both work great.
But I do prefer Can filters and Fans. Another good one is Mountainair.

IMO this is a very important part of your security. You dont want to skimp on this part..I have 3 scrubbers 2 are in use 1 is for a spare or if I run into a strain that 2 cant handle..Smell is one of the most likely causes of someone getting busted. Remember safety first this includes med states. You dont want to advertise that your a grower. Always keep it low key..

Phat filters work just as well as Can or Mountainair but it is the longevity that varies. But Phat is a good filter.

I've had Phat filters going on 2 years and still doing the job. They are lightweight to if you need to hang in a tent. I will buy the same one's when they need to be replaced
The 2nd MOST expensive filter they sell is $99 so yes for the same you could buy a new filter. You're welcome!

Can Carbon filters are craaazy expensive where I live. Think I'll give those Phat filters a shot. Much easier on the wallet. I replace my filters every year so as long it holds up that long I'll be happy.
I went with a ebay cheapy and got 1 grow with ok odor control. I started another grow and it failed. I washed the charcoal per Hammerhead and it works kinda ok now.
It was filled with pellets instead of granules which I found out is bad. I now have 10 lbs. of good charcoal I got off ebay for 40 bux. Will refill pretty quick or next run. I had to drill the rivets out of the cheapy to get in it.
The Phresh filter I had before gave me 2 grows odor control.
