no because one of the precautions you take when getting a dog that is a well known escape artist. Good fencing keeps your dogs in and people out lol. Yea i would be a little worried if my dogs escaped but when they leave there yard there personality changes because you train them to know there home is their turf and anywhere else they need to be respectful. This breed is incredibly intelligent and only wants to please its owner. so if they got out i dont think they would attack a person.. maybe another dog but even then i doubt because when i walk them on the street they dont even try to bother other dogs. and to tell you the truth all the times i have been involved in an accidental dog fight was because i was walking my dog and someone left there gargage door open or the gate.. my dogs have only ever been on the defense.

yep. that seems pretty straight foward to me. it really is always the owners fault before the dogs. i guess as long as you take the precautions you should be ok.

i know its really hard for you to imagine but it really wasnt someone i know personally and definitely no one ive ever identified as a friend.

ive only lived in this spot for 10months. this was only my 3rd round to get pulled down on this house. no one knows i live here and i dont live in town with any of my friends. all my associates are in boulder. no one could have randomly stopped by and realized i wasnt home. and no one knew id be gone when i was randomly gone that morning unless you watched me leave.

maybe you missed the point where i said there was a home invasion on my next door neighbors house less than a month ago. shes a single woman in her 60's who periodically stays away from home to not be alone and on one of those random nights, someone tried to break in. luckily here house is bared up so they didnt get in.

when i said the robbers didnt come in with the appropriate tools i mean that they didnt have bags for the weed, they didnt bring scissors or sheers to atleast cut the branches and stockes.

they trashed my place with coco and perlite while they attempted to twist stocks to their braking points. eventually after not having much success with this method, they eventually just starting taking whole plants (over 5' tall with atleast 3-4oz a piece) with pots/coco and all. not robbers who had ever even seen a grow im betting.

You know less then you think. It's not hard to imagine that it was some random crook but the story didn't sound right. Then again you left out certain pertinent details. Still I wouldn't rule out people you know, maybe not a true friend but an aquaintence? You might be right though but I only caution you because too many times I've seen people swear up and down it couldn't be a friend only to later find out it was.

As for the other home invasion yeah I saw you mention that but a month is too long for me to automatically assume it was the same people. We get home invasions in my town too and typically they do several back to back and then go quiet. Never have I seen reports of people hitting one place, waiting a month and then hitting another place near the previous place. Besides Denver is a big place if you lived in Podunk, Colorado then two seperate breakins might be more likely to be the same people but in a place the size of Denver that would seem less likely.

Anyway it doesn't matter to me if it was a friend or not, the important thing is you weren't there and they didn't take your equipment. Flat screens and stuff like that are just stuff but your equipment is a means to an end.

As my girl pointed out when we were helping Cats clean up was that you have to think of why they only took half the plants......

One light had plants around 5' tall where the other had around 3' at most.
They took all the 5's.....doi...THE BIG ONES MUST BE DONE...but they were all fairly ripe...and lights were off so they couldn't tell much.....


WHEN WE SAY NO TOOLS.....I mean 15-20 gal of coco all over the house because they didn't cut branches...they tried to snap them.....I mean thats a dead give away they weren't growers...then when they realized they just took whole plants....instead of getting scissors....if this was someone you knew....your tv guitar and computer would probably be there. and they would have taken all you plants but obviously would have cut the...fools made such a mess.

I'm amazed both of you are so sure it isn't. From the sounds of everything it sounds like his dogs didn't do much of anything. He didn't say he found them locked in a room or unconcious or anything indicating they put up a fight. Which is wierd if the golden is aggressive as the owner says. I can't see an aggressive dog sitting calmly by while complete strangers are trashing his home. It's this issue with the dogs that probably makes most folks think it was someone he knows maybe not a friend perhaps but maybe a neighbor? I mean it just seems like it was someone the dogs knew if in fact the one is indeed aggressive and the place was trashed as bad as you say. Although even if it was a friend if he stood by while his home was being trashed I'd have to say he's not very aggressive.

At the very least the dogs should have drawn attention from his neighbors by furiously barking. I am assuming of course they're not poorly trainned dogs that bark all the time to where the neighbors ignore them now. Good neighbors usually know when something wrong is going on around them. I mean at the very least you should be able to ask the neighbors if they noticed anything and get some info like what time of day the dogs were barking and/or if any strange vehicles were seen at your home or people carrying out TV's and other assorted items.

I am inclined to agree that it wasn't a grower if they tried just snapping the stalk n the other hand I'd think some random crook would have some sort of cutting device on him to aide breaking in to some place. You know, for cutting alarm wires and such. So I guess it could just be some random tweeker just hitting places trying to get lucky? Most break in's I hear of in my area are a little more organized. Again though an aggressive large dog sitting by doing nothing while some random tweeker trashes the house?

His golden is NOT aggressive really other than with other dogs.....and the other one does just bark his ass off all day....

I mean they are good dogs but by no mean for protection or gaurd dogs...

Plain and simple...we are good people who do not associate with people who can't afford to take care of them selves in a respectable manner. The bad ones have been filtered out over the last 6 yrs or so.....and we def dealt with some crazy shit...

Not to mention just the amount of times he's moved.....

Well really even putting the race issue aside if you're going to grow in an area as bad as he's now describing you go to extreme lengths for security. Adding the race issue back in most definately if I lived in an area that was all ghetto like and I was one of few if not the only white, I'd go to extreme lengths for security whether I grew or not. I'd also do the same if I was the only black in a neighborhood full of white trash. Because as you say things haven't progressed as far as we'd like to think race wise and that's true on all sides. The most likely downfall of man will be our inability to look past our differences and focus on the things we share in common.

pitbull + lab/rott mix+ Chihuahua seems to be a good combo for me, im so afraid of getting ripped, as i do live in a high crime city, many neighbors with no dogs get broken into almost weekly, whereas neighbors with dogs even little ones never get touched unless the dogs are removed. it seems theives are scared of dogs, they want easy money not a potential hospital visit especialy if its a tweaker and i have a 32 oz baseball bat next to my bed if they are alerted. hope you find the fucker who did this.
