This is pretty idiotic and irresponsible too.

Al Qaeda was de-funded, and removed from their safe harbor by Nov 2001. There ability to effective wage terrorism was ended..

But our stay in Afghanistan, and move into Iraq has certainly inspired many more jihadist, under the 'overall' banner of Al Qaeda.

A whole bunch of Bin Laden papers were released ~48 hours ago, pretty interesting stuff, he was upset with the Times Square bomber for taking the oath as an american citizen, and then breaking the oath (part of oath is to protect fellow citizens)... LOL... religion...

OBL's group is/was in tatters, we no longer fight Al Queda as much as we fight 'Pashtun nationalist' in Afghanistan, but to say it is no longer in existence... thats a GIANT leap.. Many other crackpots have picked up the flag..

thats just the tittle of the video so perhaps its misleading,he basicly says what you are saying,
he also points out that our pressence is going to increase and spread because of our foreign policy, and that is the "glue" that holds them together and focused mainly on us,instead of other countries.

this happens when people comment on a link/video's content without even looking at it...

same thing as headline experts. they read the scroll on their favorite outlet and think they are informed. when truly passionate they even skim a wikki on a subject as follow up!!!

NO, this happens when writers (the original, not the icmag user) use incredibly shitty Headlines.

Huffpost does that shit all the time. Its done to draw you into following the link, i choose not to participate. (FWIW topless should be showing tits, not covering with their hands HUFFPOST).

Poorly worded headlines are becoming an art form...

You seem to be condoning the act. A good Headline draws someone into wanting to READ the article, not piss them off so they will check it out.

G00d righting is leik t0tally lo$t...

other than RP fiscal policy, i agree with him 1000%.

He will end up passing tax cuts for the 1%, while any program aimed at the 99% will be filibustered.
RP's fiscal policy would cripple the 1% (more specifically and importantly the 0.001) because it would kill the corporate welfare state. Only when corporations and government become separate entities will the 99% have a chance.

Until the day comes that corporations do not own and run the government for their means will the 99% have a chance.

I'm not a proponent for full on lazzie fare. I don't agree with everything that Paul says, but if we keep choosing the false left right paradigm we will end the 99%.

you cant financially cripple a 1%er, the notion is ridiculous.

If a 40 billionaire loses 39 Billion dollars, they are far from crippled...

RP will end capital gains taxes, and the fat cats will stop taking salary all together, and just take cap gains (many already do).

Its a stupid shell game that the rich can play, and someone living week to week could never AFFORD.

(the 1%er write the legislation, and tie capital gains and retirement funds, so they can claim 'lower cap gains helps people retirement fund'. Put a 0% tax on the first $40,000 you get in capital gains, and make every additional dollar taxed at the same rate as the 99%.)

In a very real sense you are right. Wealth and power seemingly remains concentrated over the centuries.

But every once in a while the herd revolts.

To describe the problem as the "1%" is ridiculous IMO. The root of the problem lies within a much smaller fraction than that.

he would also work to end general income tax(what the rest of us pay).

I dont see him pushing these as two separate bills.

The rich already manage to enjoy super low capital gains burdens because to be honest, they dont work.

Is a billionaire slinging burgers at mcdonalds? No of course not. They play with invested money to enjoy the 15% cap tax.

Connecting the capital gains tax to the income tax, where the higher bracket pays the 35% would be much better to help our country. But we all know that probably wont happen. Especially when our billionaires fight tooth and nail to hold onto their extra money.

But i didnt dare question the current system. I wouldnt want the right wing radio thinking I want to "punish success" or "hate capitalism". This is the fucked up hole we are beating ourselves into......

But seriously, the cap gains people are already paying a joke percentage of taxes, and nobody is going after that, or even if they did, it would fail. Big money is falling into everyone in congress's pockets.

Would mitt or O pursue a rectification of the tax code? doubtful. I know O is playing with this 200 thou, 250 thous situation, but just going by his campaign/in office record it sounds like nothing more than pandering.

I honestly am not near 100% with ron on everything, if anything I am democrat across the board.

but that is considering environmental and womens health issues as "democrat" as opposed to republican. Also, I dont think completely ending taxes would be better than simply raising the taxes on capital gains, but realize certain concessions must be made.

Im still sort of up in the air as to whether lowering corporate tax rates would be beneficial, although many companies tends to setup shop where there are lower tax rates, so encouraging them to park their money here couldnt be worse....or could it?

Also, will any of this matter when the american petrodollar is replaced?

And no, Im not a fan of this sort of programing, but thought I should expand my horizons in this particular prez race and find myself tuning into this sort of bullcrap lately. so dont judge me. id still smoke a blunt or two with you, and listen to some interesting opposing viewpoints.

This could have something to do with RP's news coverage...

I\[B| In the media's ongoing crusade to get Barack Obama re-elected by any means necessary, no news outlet stands out quite like NBC.
[/B]

Yes, CNN, ABC, and any outlet using the profane term "white Hispanic" are as guilty as Al Sharpton of selling their editorial souls to gin up racial division for Obama in the crucial swing state of Florida, but under the appalling, un-American leadership of Steve Capus (pictured), NBC News has won the Gold for creating phony racial firestorms for three years running.

The fallout from NBC's latest and greatest act of racial fraud is still happening:

Lilia Luciano, a Miami-based NBC News correspondent, is no longer working for the network, TVNewser has learned.

Luciano last reported for NBC News March 31. Until that point, she had been reporting mainly on the Trayvon Martin story. Sources tell TVNewser Luciano’s dismissal came after an investigation which also led to the firing of a seasoned NBC News producer over a similar, misleading edit. In a story for the “Today” show on March 20, Luciano used part of the George Zimmerman 911 call in which an entire phrase (italicized below) was taken from a later part of the conversation:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good or on drugs or something. He’s got his hand in his waistband. And he’s a black male.

Dispatcher: Are you following him?

Zimmerman: Yeah.

Dispatcher: Okay, we don’t need you to do that.

In my opinion, Ms. Luciano and the other two terminated producers should file a wrongful termination lawsuit. Why are they being singled out for termination when the perpetrators of the last two NBC racial frauds still have their jobs? It's also not fair. After all, when you consider the tone and history of NBC News under Capus's leadership, any employee would be under the impression that this kind of fraud is encouraged.

Also, Capus has already made clear that what happened to the Zimmerman 911 audio was nothing more than a big oops:

NBC News' decision to air an edited call from George Zimmerman to police in the moments before he shot Trayvon Martin was "a mistake and not a deliberate act to misrepresent the phone call," according to the president of the network's news division.

So he's firing people for making an honest mistake?

That's just wrong.

That's not what the news reported at the time. During the Zimmerman/911 conversation, the 911 operator makes an inquiry about color. Zimmerman states that the man in question is black.

The NBC affiliate in Miami edited out the operator's question, falsely lending to the impression that Zimmerman's impulses were racially motivated.

I'm ultimately for justice but so far tend to side with the victim. IMO, NBC Miami was right to terminate those who, intentionally or unintentionally skewed aspects of the story against Zimmerman.

If it was unintentional it's a shame they lost their jobs but that was a big mistake.

BTW, what does this have to do with RP news coverage?

Ron Paul and company play both sides of the media coin. Ron Paul needs exposure but Ronco vilifies the media. It's not a strategy any PR firm/rep would tolerate. Poke the messenger all you want but don't expect it to work in Paul's favor.

What happens when major media (the folks who get everything wrong) actually reports something pro-Paul?
