200 AMP Sealed Garage

The only thing missing from my garage is plumbing. I oversized the AC so I never have to water cool anything. Hopefully Ill have enough room to deal with the heat from a generator if I go that route.
Info on the frost box is on igrowhydro. Ill get some pics up when I unpack. Right now its a mess in there. Lots of work to be done.
Thanks for all the info

I need a new RO unit. I sold the one I got from lowes to the guy who owns the house its installed in, because it sucked. I think Im picking up a Stealth 100. Anybody use anything cheaper that wastes less water?

Im adding a 4 light controller. It looks like the CAP MLC-X is my only option with the Lumatek 120V cord sets I have. I think Id have to upgrade those to use the other controllers? Anyone using these with Lumateks?

So Ive had a No Pest Strip hanging in the garage for about 2 weeks now and I keep finding spiders running around all over the place. Hopefully they are just visiting and havent survived the vapor.

Check out bulkreefsupply.com

They have a build your ro section. The dual 75gpd water saver option with a booster pump got me to a ratio of 1 gallon clean 1.2 gallon dirty.

I was hoping for something 1:2. I think the Stealth comes with a similar option also.

Friend you have a lot invested here but reading a book on plant biology would help ya, plants need a balanced diet to grow to max your time/investment, yes? So learn about co2 needs, it isn't that difficult to do co2, get a tank caddy to roll it in. Shame if you don 't . Smell will leak and meter readers etc will dime you out for chump change! plus ripper factor. Why advertise? You won't need to do a tank a week either, spend some time and calculate your flows and you'll thank me later. Peace Bad...

I wrapped the room and put in a mini-split a few posts up there. Still not sure what Im going to do for co2 though. I have a few more weeks to get the room together. Just in time for summer.
I think Ill try bare bulbs over the winter. I dont want to buy ducts and bigger fans to add more lights.

I have everything running and the AC sounds like a gas leak that can be heard over the fence in my neighbors yards and the fan sounds like Im running a rocket engine in there.
What should I tell my neighbors if they see me over the fence and say some shit? I just noticed him trimming his plants on the fence above my ac

Hopefully it gets hot outside so I have a reason to be running an AC in my garage?

Dude, I was picturing a garage away from prying eyes when I was reading this thread at the beginning. I know that you can rock out a 2 car garage at night thru the summer. But there is really only one reason you would be air conditioning a garage in the summer in these economic times, you are growing weed in it. everyone see's their neighbors on tv getting busted every week.

It's cheaper to run a big noisy attic fan and run your lights at night, but now you need to figure out whats wrong with your ac unit. modern mini splits don't sound like jet engines. growing WILL make you paranoid.

I know more than one friend who was dumb enough to get married and wind up sleeping in the garage, even in sheds.
hopefully you can make it look like someone is living in there instead of growing dank. I'd put curtains on the windows and then box em in on the inside so no light ever gets out when you are coming and going, or when your neighbor is going around looking for a lost cat at midnight. Throw a sat tv dish on the roof. hang outside grilling burgers, make the fucker look like home, you will be spending plenty of time in there anyways, why not sleep over?

You need to have your back story dialed before you get plants in there Dawg! Stay safe!

The exhaust fan is the jet engine sound. The mini split has a hissing sound like a gas leak, its fan is fairly quiet. I had no idea the hissing sound could be so loud though. I know I can change the exhaust fan out for a bigger one and use a speed control, so thats not a big issue. I just dont want to buy a fan and ducts

Yeah it sucks its always something ....

The good news is it doesnt even run with just my T5 & dehumidifier setup. Im not too sure how much its gonna be with my HID's and dehumidifier running late flower though

They make silencers for the exhaust fans that cut about half the sound out. I got mine from a friend for free so I'm not sure how much they are. I think you could make one also if u look at a pic. I'm growing in a garage also so I know what your dealing with. It took me a little reworking things a few times to get the sound down.

I wrapped a towel over the fan and duct where it blows right into and cut the sound way down. Should be good. I also noticed the loud hissing was when I tried to cool the hot room down. If I let it run during the day it doesnt seem to run as hard. Ill stick within the plant limit for now and see how it goes. Im stoked! I should have plants in there soon.
