Does anyone have any information on Indonesia weed, or have their tyrannical drug laws actually managed to crush smoking?
The Iranians are from the same area all my seeds are from Toysersakn. I dont know if it was wind that carried the pollen or what....but out of every hundred of these seeds or so.... these super long flowering sativa phenos are popping out...who knows maybe they are Indicas..but I'll let you guys be the judge of that....
I had mentioned this in a thread where somebody asked about the strain "krush" which is supposedly also a middle eastern sativa.
Bear in mind I don't know much about that region, or anything, this is just gleaned off an old argument I remember from the original UST at OG. So I don't want you to feel like I'm shooting it down, I don't know hardly anything about it.
Rather than re-type it I'll c/p from that thread.
"But the "krush" I remember was supposedly a Middle Eastern sativa from a hash making country. Afghanistan or Pakistan or somewhere. Another very knowledgeable member chimed in that there are no drug cultivar sativas in the "-stan" area of the world it supposedly originates from. That there are hemp based genes, but that after the wars in the 70s (continuing into present times) many farmers lost the pure undiluted wide leaf lines and that they (pure indicas) are now highly sought after, but that the sativas like "krush" are actually bastardized hemp/hash plants and that they should be discarded as trash. Instead he should be searching for the true hash plants to save them from further bastardizing.
This pissed off the owner of "krush" pretty good. And they got into an argument about the quality of the strain.
Whether "krush" is an amazingly rare middle eastern sativa, or a bastardized hemp/hash plant that should never be used for breeding due to inherent negative recessive traits that will show up in future breeding projects I can't personally say. Nor can I say anything of the general quality of the "krush" clone just for smoking purposes, regardless of breeding.
I have never smoked or seen "krush" at all. So I can't make any judgement whatsoever. I just remember that argument. I hope it helped."

"I don't agree but what the hell, I am pretty sure Indicas were developed from Southern China varieties in the last five hundred years, after being moved to Afghanistan, et al.
The reason I like the more Indica Indica varieties is because the Indicas are cultivated for hash, the sativas just grow wild in Afghanistan and are mostly not even used, but they do contaminate the Indicas with Sativa genes, so you often see Indica/Sativa hybrids in seeds imported from Afghanistan. A good Indica to the farmers was one that made a lot of hash, on the flowers or leaves no difference, and the wild Sativas don't make as much hash.
If you saw fields in Afghanistan in the North from the early 1970's they were much more Indica looking because Cannabis was legal and proper seed production of pure Indicas was easier to accomplish and easier to obtain.
With 30 years of war the country and the genepool have been through hell.
Anyway what you seem to think of as normal Indica, is to me a mongrel of Indica and wild Sativas, while the exaggerated ones are the real Indica blood.
And yes I have many times grew out lots of seeds from Afghanistan and found Sativa or Indica/Sativa looking plants, but I have also grown out batches of seeds directly from Afghanistan that only gave classic Indicas. But to be honest every year they seem to be worse and maybe more Sativa.
Most seeds collected the last 10-20 years were from down south Afghanistan, while the best was always up in the north by Mazar & Balkh. Cannabis is a traditional up in the north with a lot of experienced growers and hash makers, as well as seed growers."
