Ken has released Grand Daddy Purple in seed form (So much for clone only)...

I got these a couple of weeks ago and I have already germ'd em (as of 3/6). I lost a bean out of the pack of 10 (go figure) so I only started with 9 beans. I got a fairly respectable 7 out 9 germ rate and it probably would have been better, but I had some issues with temps not being where I'd normally like them.

I will be going organic with these as I always do. I veg under 400MH & I'm using a 2 part HF, 1 part coco & 1 part perlite mix. I haven't decided on what nutes I'll be using but I will probably going with AN...

Stay tuned...

how do you get regular seeds from a clone only strain?

From what I've learned over the years... Ken Estes is allegedly the creator of Grand Daddy Purple...

So let me post this now... because I don't want my thread full non-sense Yes there is Ken's Cut of GDP (That's obvious), these beans come from Kens GDP..."

Any questions about it...? Just ask the man yourself..

I watched his video about where GDP came from and it makes no sence to me. Sounds like he does not even know what the genetics are of GDP..You can find the video on utube...

Where you get those seeds?
The packaging looks different than mine. My gdp seeds just say "purp" on them...?
His club is not far from me, I have a lot of his genetics.
Regardless of the whole GDP controversy, he always comes through with fire genetics.....
Grab his kush if you can.

Moving along.

Here is an update. As I mentioned in the above posts I ended up with 7/9 from germination. I'm running these organic under 400MH. Here's a couple shots after about 10-11 days.

So far, so good. There two that are obviously slower but other than that, I like the development so far. I am have some temp issues (damn early spring), no biggie. I've got cool tubes coming next week

Stay tuned....

Mind if I grab a seat? :tiphat:
Looking forward to how these turn out.

I picked up a pack of these a few months ago.
I'm planning on running mine, Full Season Outdoor, this Summer.

Endur: Yeah the packs look a little different. The inside information is identical except for some small details... My pack has some wear from being in freakin pocket...

Anyway, good luck on the outdoor run...

I'm growing these as well in my current thread :) Same packaging as yours. I grabbed them as soon as they became available. I germed 5/10 and I actually lost one down the sink as well rofl.

Will be nice to compare our threads actually. Mine were popped in cup on 3/10 :)

Definitely subbing to this!

Another small update is upon us.

Pics are from Mar. 28th, roughly 3 weeks, and since have been re-potted. I have also started to feed them as well.

Here are some pics (Apr 1st) since re-potting... I have started to train these early... According to the breeder pack they are 100% indica so I didn't want to waste any time letting them get to rigid... I'd like to get some nice growth from em'

So far, so good. They have a real dank smell and I will probably go 8-10 weeks on the veg for these...

Oh by the way, I'm keeping it real simple, 3 part soil mix containing HF, Coco & Perlite... and some FF nutes...

Nice looking plants. I have 5 GDP at about 2 weeks veg and they are vigorous for sure. I got the same seed pack as you btw. The genetics on this are mysterious but what the heck, they have a good reputation and I took a chance.
