How much bat guano & worm castings to add to coco/perlite?

Need to know the proper amounts of bat guano & worm castings to add to my coco/perlite mix.

I'll be doing a 3:1 ratio for the coco & perlite.

The guano we have is the fine sandy kind, not the pellets.

Thanks.

Im a total coco n00b, but afaik guano and coco is a bad combination..ph would be hard to control i would imagine. But look it up as im still on my first coco based grow.

I dont know for a fact but may be you could make a tea with the guano to use with the coco !?

I'm new to coco too but I read it's 1/3 portion of the worms but coco is supposed to be full of P so I wouldn't add bat guano til flowering time unless its one of those sea guanos that's high in N and then I would add either or but not both. If I were to add worm castings to the mix then I'd have to beware of the ferts used during the grow because too much N could be bad and the plant will need the minors and I'm going on the way I feed the coco schedule of feed-feed-water.

Coco is not full of P.....maybe you meant to write K?

Yup, I'm assuming he meant K+ as well, due to coco's CEC. I've never had good luck with amending pure coco. Not saying it can't be done, just not in my hands it appears. I've been incorporating FF Bloom and high-P liquid budswel in mid to late flower and by all accounts it comes out with the organic taste.

If you're determined to use the guanos, I'd look more into top dressing than amending, personally...

Don't put any in, coco is NOT soil, it's a hydro medium, when used properly

Swap the stuff for coco specific nutes ..... it'll save a lot of wasted time and loss of crop

What do you mean by this? Coco is great place for beneficials to live in. Did you check this topic: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=53792

The first receipe says:

5 parts Canadian Sphagnum Peat or Coir or Pro-Moss
3 parts perlite
2 parts worm castings or mushroom compost or home made compost
Powdered (NOT PELLETED) dolomite lime @ 2 tablespoons per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of the soiless mix.
...Wal-Mart now sells worm castings.

Or, if you use Pro Mix, Sunshine Mix or Fox Farm mixes...
Dare you to take your statement to these guys. Come back after and share your thoughts. Those guys in organic section do not mess around.
