LokiLoki trying (R)DWC. [DR60 400W SCROG]

Hi people!

Some of you might remember my old grow, the 400W SCROG. That grow went to hell.. Had to harvest it 12-15 days early, didn't get much from it but the smoke was ok.

This time im doing something I've always wanted to try, DWC hydro.

I have no idea how this is going to work, when i was building it i had little time and was missing some parts so its not really what i wanted it to be. This is an experiment, if this works im going to improve it till the next grow.

Anyway heres some pictures!

Here it is with one G13 Haze and one Cheese, waiting for more seeds to get ready.

Its four 10 Liter buckets thats connected in the bottom. It also has a tube with small holes in it going through all the four tanks giving it some circulation.

The pump and oxygen tubing.

Im not sure what nutrients I'm using for this one, right now I'm using Voodoo Juice and Sensi grow A&B from Advanced Nutrients.

Edit: I changed my Cooltube for an Aircooler reflector, much better!

No chiller.
Water is about 25-30c. temps in the tent is about 25-30c and humidity is around 30-35%.

Welcome! Ye i love scrog, got totally hooked when i tried it the first time, i dont think im ever going back!

Ive got a lot of seeds germinating but its not looking good at all, only two popped up the first couple of days.

Right now ive got G13 Haze (Barneys) and Cheese (GH) in the buckets, waiting for more seeds to wake up.

Im pretty sure the G13 is fucked up, it looks like its dying, getting all black and shit. That kinda sucks cus i was really interested in trying that one.

Oh well, the Cheese is looking good so in worst case scenario this is gonna be a one plant scrog again

Things are looking good, the G13 seems more healthy and the Cheese is growing fast, also added Arjan's Haze to the third bucket.

Im having some troubles with my setup.. the pump that were supposed to circulate the water dosen't work as i wanted it to. And also the "oxygen tubes" or whatever its called are getting blocked by all the salt and shit from the nutrients, anyone got any ideas on how to keep them clean?

I'm probably going to start building a new system and transfer over the plants to the new one before they get too big.

Anyway the plants are looking good, roots are forming very very fast and i can clearly see the difference between my other soil grows and hydro. Im loving it!

Picture update.


The bucket system i was using was not working as well as i wanted it too, so ive built a new one.

The buckets are connected with two tubings, one to keep the waterlevel balanced and the other one is connected to a pump which circulates the water. Ive also added one more oxygen pump so theres now one stone and one air curtain in each bucket.

Its working very good, the plants are loving it.

5 days later and Arjan's Haze have exploded! Man this is going to be one giant tree.. Its going to be hard to keep the plants even cus this plant is just insane when it comes to growing big.

Im probably going to switch to 12/12 in a couple of days.

They make a cleaner for them hoses, I believe it's called
drip clean ? I'm sure your hydro shop will have something
similar, anyway it breaks down the salt and mineral deposits
and keeps everything flowing free of debris and crud.

Thanks man i will look that up, that sounds like something i could really need. The air stones/curtain keeps getting blocked by salt etc all the time, will a "drip cleaner" prevent that you think?

Ive just had a talk with the ladies, the Arjan's Haze is such a winner, ive never seen anything grow this fast. Ive got clones from them all but if the Arjans haze is a good smoke im definitely setting up a scrog with only clones from her next time.

The GH Cheese and Barneys G13 Haze ive got is nothing compared to Arjans haze Phenotype.

I will probably have to flower soon cus the Arjans Haze is already taking over the net but the others aren't even close to the net.

Im loving hydro.

Small Update

As you can see Arjan's Haze #1 is taking over the screen. I will Probably have to flower soon cus im afraid the Haze is going to stretch and leave the others too far away from the light.. I cant really raise the buckets :/

This is how the G13 Haze looks, i have no idea why it looks like this, anyone got a clue? rot? Whatever it is it might be responsible for the incredible slow growth.

The cheese is looking healthy and bushy, but can't really be compared to the arjans haze.



Edit: I just put em under 12/12, but keeping the 400w MH for a couple of days. Veg time was 24 Days

Manage to keep one plant alive, it grew at a mates place who has no experience of growing at all.

This is right before harvest:

Got 80g from it and the high was pretty nice. Had a wonderful cheese smelled when cured.

Dont smoke this if you got shit to do, this is definitely a strong couchlock smoke.
