ICmag is a site dedicated to cultivating marijuana, is the 47,987th most popular website in the world with ~25,000 visitors a month, and ICmags servers are registered in the Netherlands and it and it's users are subject to the laws of the Netherlands. Facebook is a social media site, the 3rd most popular website in the world, with ~150,000,000 visitors a month, and Facebooks servers are registered in the U.S. and it and it's users are subject to U.S. Federal law.

The differences in risk should be obvious.

If you're not in the U.S. you might have reduced risk....but then again, Facebook is a big enough company that you might be accessing the site through locally registered servers, and still assuming local risk. I'm no lawyer though, so take into account that I'm mostly talking out of my ass.

Regardless, the REAL risk comes just from broadcasting the fact that you're growing to everybody you personally know, and everybody they know by extension (depending on their discretion and/or your security settings). That's breaking rule #1 in a monumental fashion, and I'd prepare for a break-in rather than a bust, and sooner rather than later. Even if you're creating a dummy account, just for showing off your grow to a select few, Facebook is hardly well-known for their protection of your privacy, they automatically become the weakest link in your security/privacy chain as soon as you introduce them, and you can literally never remove whatever information/media you give them, as they reportedly backup and retain all data.

While you're at it make sure you take all your photos with your i-phone, that way there leo will have no trouble finding your grow.

Dude do what makes you happy. But if you get busted or robbed dont wonder why. I dont even have an FB, so this issue is irrelevant to me. :dunno:
