Slimm, I use (and i think many others as well) an ordinairy (wall socket) adapter. I've got one that has a little switch with what you can choose the voltage it puts out, i think it gives a few options between 3 and 12V. Mine is set to 9V and it is a 540mA adapter, I let it sit for about 10 hours. Works like a charm.

The only real variables i have left is the size of the jar i use (always a 250mL), the size of the silver strips and the distance they are apart from each other. I keep the two pieces of silver about 3 to 4 cm apart, and they are about 1 by 3-4 cm under water.

I don't think using a bigger powersuply gives a better CS, maby if u are using a bigger container. The 250mL i make gives me enough CS to turn one female.

I just found out I can use a shed with a skylight (!) on my friend's property for my early spring auto seed crop. He has some t-5s gathering dust for extra light and I have some seedling mats to keep the roots warm. This will ensure there is no pollen left (except in my freezer) to pollinate the regular plants.

Exxxxxxxxxcellent, my plan is coming together.

ok
so no one had any clues as to whether or not male reversal was probable, so I waited to see for myself.

I don't know if this male was neutered by the CS or what...the last chem D male I put into flower was dropping pollen within two weeks.
I have yet to see pollen and trust me this guy should have powdered the tent by now.
I was really hoping for seed, but it appears I may have applied too much or for too long (6 wks min.).
like i said, I will grow this out just to check for viable seed.:tiphat:

How long did u spray last time ? u may be right . when i made seeds i sprayed for 14 days b4 i flipped 12/12 then for 14 more days .
The sprayed plant was male for 2 to 3 weeks then start to go back to a female .
At the end the plant self polenated and i had just under 1000 seeds

six weeks, and it has been about two weeks since the pistils became evident. if this plant was trying to self normally wouldn't the pistils and pollen need coincide with each other?

I sure hope I'm lucky enough to find a few as I chopped two of the three branches from it already (not all the male flowers had pistils showing like this one did), but at this point I'm not holding my breath.

cross fingers for me.:ying:

The best way is to have a clone of the reversed plant available. Collect the pollen off the reversed plant. Put the clone plant onto 12/12 then pollinate it.

A normal female plant getting shagged by itself. The pollen only has xx chromosomes in it so the seeds produced will all be female and a genetic copy of nitself.

That's all it can be

...another thing to consider is that sometimes and with some strains the male flowers created with CS don't open normally so often need help, ...sometimes you have to just grind up the flowers and paint the dust on to the female pistils manually.

for an alternative method check out www.DRTSremedies.com

I'm skeptical about this as the website fails to list which substance(s) are in it. It just says "naturally occurring minerals and is non-toxic, non-allergenic and will not cause harm to the user, plants, or pets" ... well guess what - that describes colloidal silver perfectly, so I can't help but wonder if he's just flogging off these bottles of colloidal silver for $25. The website's "How it works" page also says "The active ingredient in Tiresias Mist is safe and effective". So what is it - multiple "naturally occurring minerals", or one "active ingredient"??? It also says it's "Patent PENDING", but I guarantee that will never change to Patent Granted because you can't patent colloidal silver, nor can you patent the very few other chemicals/substances known to be successful for feminisation, such as giberellic acid or silver theosulphate. Dodgy. Buy at your own risk.

I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, but this is a huge thread. The first post says that the CS solution needs to be at least 30ppm. I noticed you can buy 50ppm CS solution for like $11, this would work, right? Easier that way, than making it yourself.

^ it also depends how big the bottle is, if its just a small container it may not give you enough CS to get the plant to fully flip and make quality pollen

Hello guys, i got a question, i have a few times made feminized seeds with this method thanks to this tread! And this time i wanted to try on autos,i got pollen and manually pollinated two others girls, but,, this time (3 days after pollination) the hairs on the girls thats dusted dont turn red? i know they are dusted cos i got a good amount of pollen and dusted every bud twice without touchin em at all,so what u think, will it be a succes? or must the hairs get red before pollination was ok?

thanks in advance
