That's what I'm hoping bro. She has about 2 1/2 weeks or so to go. I haven't actually counted flowering days in forever...lol. I just run them until the resin stops oozing. So far I've been getting much better potency results this way as opposed to watching trichs that are degrading over time.
Personally I think watching trichs is over rated. We're watching trichs that are steadily degrading, so what we're actually watching is the condition OF THOSE TRICHS, not overall PLANT condition. I believe the practice of watching trichs is better than simply guessing at harvest time. But I also feel that once we run so many hundreds and hundreds of different plants, there are better harvest-timing-methods that one can employ.
Very nice hash stash, Phil. Is that a sifting box? Does that end up being labor intensive?
Those little oil bongs give the best hits. Is there a piece that you put over the glass nail?
Oh man, Truth, that looks like one bountiful harvest. The Kolossus and the SSSDH intrigue me, wonder the smoke will be like.
That Nightmare Deez looks like a heavy yielding resin producer, PGW. How dense are the buds?
So you harvest when the buds stop swelling and stop getting more crystally?

yes it is, got it from my buddy joe, he used to own sight & sounds in westmont till he was murdered, making bubble hash is way more labor..i have bubble bags but havent used them in 8 years...yes there's like a shroud that goes over the nail...i have Pine Tar kush growing now as seen in weed wars or whatever them discovery pot series are called...will take pix when it starts getting close to chopp date..hope this helps.

i had about an OZ of trimm.....ran it thru the box 3 times....still some keif left in bottom of stash box didnt put all in jar....then after that i still extracted quite a bit of Honey oil too...hope this helps...

its down there bromigo...that honey oil bong is from one of the head shops down there...them guys i gave it to also grow belladonna, fuckin incredible, and cotton candy..... when they came up to chitown he brought up the honey oil bong and a belladonna clone....he wanted to try al's beef on taylor st.... me old hood so we went... i also gave him a clone of pine tar kush, hawaiian purple kush, schrom & mr. nice pre 98' for the drive back south....hope this helps.

And without a suspension system to hold up the bags of water, it was real tiresome to drain the bags.
I think you've graduated from farming weed to farming trichomes, PC.

Haven't had to run the fans for the hoods yet, next run I am just running adjust a wings and sometimes this run I'm just taking the glass out of the magnums. Just have to find time, and close the 8" holes I cut as vent holes first.

Basically, yes. When I'm running a new strain, I'll use a scope, but I watch the plants and note when they were harvested. Then, as I smoke them, I note what the smoke is like in reference to harvest timing. After a few runs, I can get em where I want them without having to pull out the scope time after time. It's surprising how many times the smoke has gotten way better than what it was on the first "scoped" runs.
My theory is that since the trich color only really indicates the degradation of THAT particular trichome, that overall harvest timing shouldn't be judged on the singular criteria of external trichome degradation (color). It's most definitely time-related in any environment, so time is what I consider most important, like we all do. Typically what I find, is that most strains will swell up, continue to output resin, then slow to a crawl. There seems to be one big resin push near the end of a strains harvest window. So once I find when that occurs in my trial runs, I know that harvesting is best about a week after that big push.
Of course all strains vary. But that's my usual "system" if you will.

What kind of controller are you using, Respect? I've been looking at Sentinel and CAP, myself, and am leaning towards the Sentinel multi-function co2 monitor.

That's interesting, PGW. I think I've seen that late bloom trich surge before. Do you use any additives to help induce it? There are some late bloom products that claim to induce further bud swelling, think I've used one before (Beastie Bloomz?) but can't recall it making much of a diff in calyx size.
Are you using supp co2, Jonny? The internodes on that bud growth are so tight, those colas are going to be forearm size at harvest.

Mine is from a company called Agrowtech, they're very reliable with a great customer support (it's my good friends, and they designed the whole program and make the controllers themselves.) The best feature is the data logging feature I can go 10 days ago and see what my room was like every 10 seconds and on right to today!

All I use is KoolBloom powder from GH. I don't believe that it makes a huge difference in EXTERNAL resin production, but more of a difference in internal production. The calyxes swell a little more and the buds are heavier with it, than without it. Again....not a huge difference, but I find it worthwhile.
