dropped the entire 5pak of GDP S1s into water,
if they all would have sprouted I would have gotten 6 plants.
2 cracked, tails pushed out and stalled.
one had 2 embyro's in the shell?? thats pretty rare.
too bad both didn't make it,
so I have 3 that did, one has some twisty 1st leaves and almost looks like it wnats to be a trifoliate
another one has 2 pistils coming off the ends of the 1st true leaves! see the pic attachements
and the 3rd one has the 2 cotelydons but so far no other leaves

I got a crinkely, crusty, twisted ass, slow as fuck mutant from gdp s1's.......I was really excited for these but looking at them now well just leaves me feeling a little burnt........I will of course save final judgement till I sample the goods but I'm no longer in any rush to get these flowering.........

Grandaddy Purple is a slow vegger, that is one of the characteristics of the clone and therefor bound to exist in the S1's.
I am interested to see what the mutants look like Home J Pimpin if you have pics? Have you seen the results posted by jayd of his GDP S1's? I would not panic over the mutant growth yet, hopefully it will grow out.
Peace

I actually just sent the money off for the extra pak i ordered in late jan because my 1st order from early dec was 7 weeks late and I figured it was a loss
and guess what came in the very next day...lol, this pak of GDP S1
so hopefully will have another pak of GDP S1s in soon.
we'll see how things go ojd with this run

heres the pic of the other one that sprouted but no leaves, only cotelydons

I scrapped a similar one Pimpin... I popped 3 seeds originally: 1 was mutantish like you described, 1 looked dead on Ken's cut, and the 3rd vegged at 1/3 the speed of the first 2.

I go through a lot of seeds and just never keep funny, finicky, odd plants. Hey if they grow out of it, that's their prerogative, I'm not not sitting around lol. the "ken" girl i kept is in veg stasis mode right now, so we can prep enough cuts.

soaked last beans 3 days ago and just potted up today.

Connoisseur GDP fem 1/2 (4/5 total for pack)
Connoisseur Cheesedog reg 5/5
Pisces Genetics reg Dawg Daze Sage 5/5
Cannabiogen fem Sugarloaf 1/1

anytime I buy seeds I'm truly only looking for 1 keeper for my money. on that basis, I am 100% satisfied with the GDP s1s.

some of the sought after clone-onlys that Ive popped during the last year or so that are SELFED seem to have minor issues with vigor, maturation, germination. i agree that the source of these cuts are legit, but maybe due to the nature of being passed around and shared some are slightly less vigorous and does not bode well for fem seeds. Outcrosses, on the other hand, seem to display expected results. just my opinion :tiphat:

I agree dude.....and ojd thank you for the offer.I go through a ton of beans as well and I grow them all to see what they might or might not be......I agree that as outcrosses you can expect a certain amount of it in there but as far as finding a true representation of the clone s1 is the fastest method.......I personally would out cross then back cross for several generations......but I dont have the space to run numbers and thats the only way I would go to make proper selections......

If you take cuts and see if she grows better from those i think she is worth keeping just in case she grows out of her weird growth and ends up being special.

heres an interesting one i have going from the last 2 of my seeds (1/2 germ). 18 days from seed, popped above soil after 4 days.

i also had 4 gdp mutants from a pack of 5 fem seeds. 1 survived and it is not doing so well except the unbelievable resin production. on the other hand, the free pack of cheesedog i received is just amazing...

take cut's ? there is nothing to cut.........everyone of these seeds is problomatic either they are mutants or develope deficiencys they are unhappy and uuhealthy seedlings, like the seed mother went through a GREAT deal of stress......Ive seen this before on seeds I've made myself .when the seed mom gose through trauma while making seeds the offspring are weak.......Hey we all fuck up I've got no problem with connoisseur......Ojd offered to make good and thats the right thing to do imo......I may not even ever take him up on it.......but I'm not going to lie and make excuses.....these are pretty expensive beans and it's obvious to me that the mother was stressed out while producing......I could not in good conscience reccomend them..........

I can assure you the mother plant that made the seeds was in perfect health.
As previously said, if you are having problems it will be made right...... many people have had great results with these seeds and the number if complaints can be counted on one hand, that being said we will look into all complaints and aim to make everyone happy. Im sorry you are one of the unlucky ones and hope it has not caused you too much trouble, we stand by our product and the last thing we want is for people to go away unhappy.
All input is appreciated and pics would help too, thanks.

the GDP i grew was so healthy it was unreal. she suffered heat stress a fair bit but she was so healthy all through the grow and hardly needed any nutes. no signs of any male flowers or seeds yet another plant i grew at the same time of a dif strain threw out a few male sacs due to the stress.
