what do you wanna give em Cannazym for bro? id be just giving water till chop now, for me 20% amber is about as far as i like to go. looking good, close now!

I was told that Cannazym would help deliver stored nutes to the plants as well as process dead roots. Yea maybe i wont add it after all.

Regarding the 20%. I noticed that particular buds, usually the biggest, mature faster than others. Do u chop as soon as u see 20% amber on those buds? Or do u wait until there's 20% amber on the whole plant?

great job, i knew the yellowing leaves wouldn't be a big problem. bud development looks real good. have you seen any amber trichome heads yet?

edited to add: the cannazym is not needed for end flush, but if your reusing the coco, it helps. also i think it does help dissolve the salts a bit better when you flush with cannazym (any enzyme product) in the water.

Yea thats what i thought also about Cannazym, however i'm having 2nd thoughts. Yes there are some amber trichs on the big buds.

General Question: Some say dont starve the plants while others say flushing is a must.. even for soil.
I was planning give water for the last 10 days to be on the safe side.

Usually I alternate water/feed every 4-5 days. Last time I fed was 4 days ago, only because i thought the plants needed 2 more weeks. But now there are some buds that look ready for harvest. Tomorrow will be the start of the "flush"..

Should I finish the 10 days flush and risk that some buds will be over ripe? Or flush with 3 times as much water as the pot size tomorrow, then harvest after a couple of days?

i would just normally finish the 10 day flush.

to flush or not is always debated heavily, but in the end most real growers who've been doing it for long enough to have tried different methods out, will tell you a flush is essential to get the best out of your buds. but if you want to read more on that subject just do a thread title search, there are many threads about flushing.

These look great GreenOps! I wanna do a scrog as well! bet you can't wait until harvest :D

I'd flush them as well, won't hurt and may help. I have been following BOG's advice on 48 hours in darkness before the final cut - does not hurt either, lol

I know that growers are split about this. The more i read the more i get confused.. I decided to go for it cuz it might improve the flavor.

I'm pissed cuz i read some false info on some other site regarding flushing before harvest. These guys were saying not to pH the water u flush with. I did that 2 days ago. I googled this again after i watered and found more posts saying pH is still necessary during flush... hope the plants will take it well.

LOL damn u right i can't wait. I'm still contemplating about the darkness before the chop. I did it in my last grow. It think its supposed to increase trichomes during the dark period. I read however that this trichomes are the clear ones. Too much of those might give u headache. I dont get headache from mine but the trichs did increase tho i think its just making the smoke a bit harsher.

wow I am speechless.

:tiphat:

Great canopy man, I hope mine turns out half as nice.

Thanks dude.. i hope yours turn out great

I think the darkness time simply promotes the plant to bring out the maximum amount of active ingredients. Fresh trichomes would not appear so quickly, the plant just produces even more cannabinoids - that's my understanding :tiphat:

Keep us updated, I am looking forward to the harvest pics!

Need advice from u guys,

i need to know how fast can you bring the rh down to a stable level in the curing zone, so that you can leave the jar unopened for a month? Without fcking up the cure of course.

I need to know because I would like to harvest this one at 20-45% amber, and I think that would take another 2 weeks. The problem is i'm going on a month long vacation on April 18.

I would be harvesting on the last week of March, which gives me 3.5 weeks for drying and curing.

Its pretty dry here atm, 30-45%.

Last time I hung my plants up for 5-7 days, manicured them, paperbagged them for 1-2 days, then tested the rH in the jar. Went up to 70+% in a matter of hours. Dried some more until a week of burping brought it down to a stable 68%. I took my time with burping, so it took me more than a month of doing that routine, gradually lessening the burping, until the rH was stable at around 63%. This time I don't have a month... can I burp more agressively after the initial drying phase, without compromising the curing.

Or should I harvest a week earlier?

New pix..

It will give you a more head high to it for sure,I have found that weed hits better if its harvested a little earlier but if you wanna go connoiseur i would leave them full ripe, better flavor for sure,if not just flush the living hell out of them and leave them 10 days to finish off,it will give you better taste, smell and burning :)
Love the look of your buds, they look killer, and dont worry about those seeds, nothing like a good pair of seeds!
keep up the good work

3 weeks is plenty of time to dry them and be able to pack them. just debranch the buds then spread them out to dry on fine net, the stuff for making fly doors from the doityourself is great, make a wood frame staple the netting to one side and you have perfect drying tray. make as many as you need. the spread debranched trimmed buds on these racks, the buds will seem crispy dry in 5 to 7 days, at that point put all the buds in some tupperware, close lids and check on them a few hours later. they will be damp again, leave the lids off the tupperware a few hours or a night and check next day. when the buds start feeling dry again, repeat the process with the lid on and off till the buds are no longer changing moisture and are dry enough, but not bone dry, then jar them and check them as you start smoking from all the jars the days before you go, then all will be well. put them in a dark and cool place. you can also stick the tupperware of the finished buds in the freezer, then they will say exactly as they are when you put them in. in fact i'm doing that to help keep some of my stash fresh longer.

thanks 4herbs. well i'm more of a cannaseur, so i would have preferred to let them fully ripe, but yea what can i do. Oh and the seeds.. luckily i havent found more of those so i'm over the hermie scare lol.

thanks a lot for that tip gaiusmarius! basically that's just what my curing process is like. Regarding the drying... i'm not going to debranch them and use a screen. I did that on my first harvest and the buds dried way too fast. From my understanding the chlorophyll didnt break down properly and the buds had that hay smell even after a month of curing. So i was told to try hanging the whole plant, to slow down the drying process.. and it helped to get rid of of the hay smell as ive tried it with my Amnesia Lemon grow. I'm sure it works well for you.

Let me share my new toy with you guys... the Arizer Solo! I'm new to vaping. I tried my friends Iolite couple weeks ago and I was impressed. It has many advantages over smoking, from health to stealh (the smell wont linger in the air, so u can just sit back on your couch and vape away without opening the windows).

Day 70 into 12/12 - Day 59 flowering

The past week, week and a half, I've noticed a 2nd pistil growth going on. Those pistils are now turning from white into a bit more darker color. Unfortunately the amber trichs havent picked up yet. In spots where the amber trichs are most concentrated its about 2 out of 10. However there are more areas with no amber at all. But as mentioned before I'm going on a vacation and I'm forced to harvest early.

So these will be the last family picture of my 3 ladies. The FCJ1 will be chopped tomorrow. I will let the KB and FCJ2 go for one last flush then harvest them next Monday or Tuesday.

Day 73 into 12 12 / Day 62 blooming

I chopped the FCJ1 2 days ago, and that procedure left a pretty strong scent in the air. The whole plant is since hanging upside down in a small grow tent. A carbon filter is hooked to the exhaust fan.

I had to cut the scrog net as i removed the FCJ1 from the scrog.
So now that I can move the KB and FCJ2 I noticed that the part where the KB got topped has a split down the middle! NO idea when that happened or if it has an effect on the yield.. cuz i do feel that the KB is going to yield a lot less than either of the FCJs. But at least the KB has a pretty strong scent.

The KB and FCJ2 got one final flush 2 days ago and will be harvested on Tuesday after a 24 hour darkness period.

Harvest day! I gave the Kushberry and Fruity Chronic Juice #2 a 36 hour dark period. I just cut them and hung em up upside down in the cab i grew them in.

I dried the FCJ1 for four days. Last night I already felt that the buds were starting to get crispy so I got down to business and manicured them. The buds smell nice, sweet and fruity. Not as strong as my friend's Blueberry Gum but at least they got some distinct smell to them.. should get stronger after a proper cure.

Check out that little booger in the middle of the buds... that's finger hash. I think i got a lot of resin from this grow and i'm excited to make some real hash soon =)

Thanks GM. The trim job was a pain in da azz alright! The plants smelled nice during the manicuring. The FCJ smells sweet and fruity and the Kusbherry like citrus and fuel.

I never got big buds like the FCJ2 before. High buds to leaf ratio. I would grow this again and again.

Hey man ive just finished reading the thread, what a great scrog! perfectly even canopy. Too bad you had to harvest early, but the buds still look very nice! :dance013:

169g from 3 plants under a 250w is not bad at all, but put those genetics in a dwc and long veg and you might hit 1g/w :woohoo:

Good luck with the curing process, just put it in the freezer before you leave and you will get home to some nice fresh dank :)
