Hey, I am almost complete with my Rubbermaid Grow Box. However, one problem I am running into is the temperature. It goes over 31C.Here is what my box looks like now. due to the size of the fan and the curves from the tub, I was not able to screw it in properly.

As you may see, there are some gaps around the fan. I'm not worried about the light leak, during lights off, it will be completely dark in my closet.
But my question is, should I seal it off? If so, how would I do that?

On the other side of the bottom tub, I have cut up a small hole for a passive intake.
Please help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

so your pics are not working,

as for your passive intake, the holes need to be 2x the size of the exhaust for example, if you had a 2x2 exhaust you would need a 4x4 or 2 2x2 holes

you may also want to consider pulling your air through some ducting or some sorta way so that you are able to pull fresh air into the closet, i had this issue previously with proper venting but because my cloest doors were closed it did no good cause it was just recycling the hot air and making it hotter

:yeahthats Pictures are 404, so no help there.

Have you checked out the Rubbermaid grow of RedGreenery? If not, I would highly recommend reading through it. His Rubbermaid grows are out of this world and with such a simple design, plus you can scale the design up or down for your needs. He also goes by redgreenry and has a great Ventilation 101 thread as well as others worth check out.

I came in to mention the red greenery rubbermaid setup. I followed it almost to the letter. By installing a "light shield, " and venting it like a cooltube, of sorts, you greatly lower your chamber temps.

duct tape would be easy to apply (and remove).
