Temperature Issues in new cab..

I think your problem might be that you are exhausting back into the room where you are sucking in fresh air. Its like having your grow room inside a bigger box. I think that's why when you lowered the temps in the whole room your box got cooler. JMO

I have to do that or it's the only way I can get my tent at least 75F lol

it's possible, but if i can drop even a few more degrees with the fan and plants, I'll be quite happy with where i'm at.

3 benjamins, easy. I'm a pretty strong guy, I'd say. When we went to lift it from the patio to inside it was an "oh fuck" moment, now that the equipment, i dont really want to know!

when i built my cab (enough support to support 600 lbs of water and fishtank gravel), i never realized how heavy it was, til i moved !!!!

fuck !!!

it worked, but it took two very stout guys to think about lifting it onto a pickup truck...

Hey GP don't suppose you could elaborate more on your fishtank stand grow.. been thinkin bout doing it to my 90 gal... got a 250 laying around.. was thinking NGB style... would be stealth forsure... my tanks pretty loud

Just a couple of things to think about - you have enough inlet area in each side for the fan. If there is any restriction seen on the flower side, the bulk of the air is going to come from the veg side. You might try a slide baffle on the fan inlet port on the veg side so that you could restrict the air from that side and force more flow from your primary heat source.

As was mentioned before, if you could exhaust up and away from the inlet, you could stop potential re-cycling of the hot air.

I don't know what you have planned for the plants to sit on regarding your inlet holes, but I have a similar arrangement in my tent and I build an elevated platform for the plants to sit on and ducted the air under the platform. That way it is dispersed all the way around the plants and I still have almost the full floor area (other than a couple of inches around the edge where the pots would never go anyway) for the plants to sit on. Mine is about 6" off the floor because of side vents, but yours could be only a couple of inches high with the bottom ports.

Good luck!

mind tossing me a link on that chiller? thanks man!

Gnaut if you go to the Bay and type in heat exchanger and look for the icebox chiller you will see a bunch that list for around $150 pass those buy you will come across them listed for around $45. I know sounds crazy but true, the cheaper ones even come with a wall mount. Also you should come across mini chillers for computers some come with fan installed for around $25. If you do decide to run a chiller, between those two I mentioned you should have no prob keeping temps inline. I would personally install 4 of the mini's and a chiller on the cooltube. Up to you man but trust I have grown in plenty of small spaces and know matter how much air I exchanged the temps would never be optimum just manageable. Until I started toying with chillers is when I saw that break then it was on! Like said chiller units are expensive so sometimes we got to cheat hence window a/c unit. 5-6000btu would handle your box maybe two. Key though is to have a big enough rez so it doesn't heat too fast and insulate it. Hope that helps it's helped me a ton. PEACE! Oh yeah would also get some type of temp controller to pug mini's into
