purple urkle vs gdp....which do you prefer?

I have no idea the earliest date of urkle. I would think urkle and gdp are related though. I was gifted urkle and gdp and I've grown them side by side and puffed them side by side.

Having grown them side by side and puffed them and compared them I'd bet money they are related. I think there are a couple different gdp cuts floating around the one I had was deff urkles little/big cousin

Oh almost forgot you gotta love the greyish purplish dry sieve urkle will produce. It's some of the tastiest stuff around.

I prefer GDP for its sedative and viagra-like effects. But I also appreciate Erkle's non overwhelming indica effects, very anti anxiety. Both good and depends on what you need from the effects imo.

I prefer the Urkel for the duration of effect....the GDP doesn't seem to last long for me....

GDP is my favorite.

I've grown "Super purple" which is god knows what that my buddy gave me. Urkle like but a yield between GDP and Urkle.

I've grown a lot of urkle and some GDP. GDP is a balanced high while urkle will get me too stoned.

I guarantee that GDP has urkle in it or urkle has GDP in it. Almost exact same plant, just larger nugs.

They all come originally from one of Somas Lavenders that showed some interesting qualities. The reason Urkle has its name is because the grower that found in in Humboldt asked his daughter what he should name it and she was into Family Ties and said "Urkle".

If you grow Lavender next to urkle, next to gdp you will see they all grow identically, just different end products (know from experience).

I have grown both but I do like the Urkle although smaller yeild she has some sweet phenos in her. I do admit I have not had the best GDP that there is out there so this might be the problem with my opinion. You need to compare the best with the best and then see what you think. Urkle makes the most amazing purple, grape tasting oil nothing like it peace out headband 707

I wish I could say I have tried both strains, as I eye ball the poll everytime I enter this thread. But until i try them both, I can't give my opinion. What i will say is, I have smoked pounds of both commercial GDP and top shelf headstash grown GDP. Its great stuff, def. unique and will always be set apart in my head having smoked enough of it.

Well, I could be wrong, but Soma started growing in the 70's or 80's (can't remember era) after his entire crop got seeded by offset timers. This is all according to his book.

So I'm not sure where you got the story of him throwing seeds off of a balcony.

And if you don't believe me grow them side by side, like I said, and you will see.

Know you mean well, but that is inaccurate. GDP was made using something different. Urkle I think share no genetic relation at this point...
