so late.. smoked a bit much, weatherstripping, air and light proofing. Inside of cab is not spray paint, it is the black rubberized material in a can, waterproofs the MDF and seals cracks. heres some pics!

Next step... wait for fans and lights to come so I can drill holes for ventilation and cut orca film to wrap. Comeon fedex :joint:

Flower doors open, veg cab latched and closed, airtight and light tight

inside of flower cab, walls installed on veg and flower side, latches keep the cab closed.

and yeah the thing collects all the dust (wtf) we are planning on stenciling/stickering the shit out of it.
Thats it for tonight.. waiting on fedex..

Isn't it hard to make the circle holes for the cooltube when that wall is already in the cabinet?
I can see myself sitting in the cabinet cursing that my powertools are too big to be used so close to the top of the cabinet.
I'm not that handy :p

Nice work, can't wait for the next set of pics.

(oh and where did you find black silicone to seal the edges ??)

Just a suggestion, but I think you should run a brace bewteen the right side of your cabinet, where the doors match up. It will help you with having a better seal in between the doors. It doesn't have to be a full 2x2, you could probably rip one in half and that would work. The whole setup looks awesome, but my carpenter eye keeps looking at that....

You can find this at any home improvement store. Check the paint section, that's usually where they keep the chaulk and silicone. You can also find rubberized sealant in a spray paint-form, also at your local HIS.

what blackosprey said.... i think anyways. the light is gona leak threw between the doors where they come together when they are closed. theres a few ways you can keep the light out. 1 is putting a lip on 1 of the doors and taking a bit off the back of the other door for the lip to fit snug. you could do somthing similiar with some reflectix or whatever you wana use but it wont last as long as building it into your doors.

Actually, two steps ahead of you. I have a beam cut that will fit.. Can't install it until the lights come in, you know?

great start, hope it continues to go well. my only comment would be this : no matter how much passive intake you have, it's not enough.

Awesome!

One question. In the original cad pic it shows the cool tube to have its own ventilation. Just wondering how you will make a light trap for the inlet of the cool tube?

right on. I had a feeling you had a plan, as all of this project seems like you have really though it out. Good luck.

6" duct coller with black pantyhose stretched over the end or cut a piece of filter to fit inside for better light proofing.

Light proofing the corners with some garage door weather stripping, works perfectly.

Second coat of paint, decided to remove a door handle.

Painting the inside tomorrow

Proper cab, I have a cab similar to yours and scrog. May I suggest you make the bottom a slide out rack, trust you will be thanking yourself when it comes time for training, watering, and just having the pleasure to pull your shit all the way out sometimes to admire. PEACE!
