Hello Booner47,

Green State ha? Would it be the Evergreen one... LOL

Now, about strains:

One that would be very interesting to "mess with" would be Mosca's recent offering.

C99 BX-1

Some might find certain phenos quite racy but if you select the right plant as mother you could have a very fine day smoke while keeping flowering time within 8-9 weeks.

Best,

I actually was looking at Moscas C99 the other day. I saw some people do pretty well with it up in Canada. And my biggest concern is where I'm located. It gets cold quick. So I've really only been growing early finishing strains and auto flowering. But I'm getting jealous watching all you guys growing amazing strains.

So I wanna try to get some real nice sativas and force flower them to finish in time. We'll see how they react.

This is my type of high.. Sorry I have no pictures yet. I'm starting some Apollo-11 as we speak. Which is suppose to be a great great daytime smoke.

Cinderella-99
Apollo-11
Dj Short's Flo
Kali Mist
Satori
Vanilla Kush

Are what we have listed so far, and I would agree from what I have read that all of these are HIGHLY recommended for this type of effect.

I'm gonna have to try flo this summer if it's as good as you say. Especially if flavor is amazing. Because flavor is my deal breaker.

Right now, my favorite daytime flowers are Ace Old Timer's Haze. Growing her is not for the faint of heart, but the effects are perfect for daytime consumption. Give up your coffee habit, smoke some Old Timer's Haze instead...

I like C99 as well. Flo is great anytime. The Old Timer's doesn't knock you down. Very functional effects. Grow it outdoors somewhere you can dedicate space and time. She flowers forever...

Flavor is greatly improved by a good, slow cure.

I had the same issue which I solved by taking the following steps:

1) Only PH'd (5.8-6.2) water during the last 2 weeks.

2) If possible, hang the whole plant (do not cut any fan leaf yet) upside down from the ceiling and let her slowly dry out until fan leafs are easy to snap.

3) Collect buds and place them in Zip-locks and seal it for a week but burp bag every day.

4) Once buds are evenly dry transfer to mason jars and age for AT LEAST one whole month (do not open the jar).

Taste and aroma improves dramatically as aging process advances.

It goes from a hay/sweet aroma to a cheesy goodness and then to funky, fruity and sour notes.

I have no doubt that Mosca's C-99 would be great in this department.

Hmmm, why is it important to leave the plant intact?

To slow the drying process?
Slow drying allows chlorophyll to to dissipate, as well as water.
Herb dried too quickly will retain chlorophyll, causing a harsh, green/grassy flavor.
