#1 Can you name a longer lasting or more influential (Edit: legal document) in the history of the world? (Talking about the constitution)
#2 After this constitution is gone, (the way things are going) what constitution would we adopt?
#3 Who would put this constitution into effect? Who would dictate this?
#4 Most important, are we going to blindly tear down our constitution, for another constitution not yet drafted? Another constitution that the people would have no say in?
#5 Would this constitution have religion in it at all?
#6 Would George Soros be the leader......jk, just threw that in for fun. No offence meant.
These questions are meant to educate me, and not to knock you guys. You guys have made strong points to the opposite side of the argument, and I have been wondering these questions for some time. Thank you

the constitution was written by rich people for rich people! the only people that have had true freedom in this country were the ones far away from the government. mountain men, native american's, etc.
#1 what does the constitution have to do with the history of the world ? it only affects america,, most really influential documents predate americas conception,, but none of them really affect americans,,
#2 i dont think the constitution will go anywhere, imo it will be whored out to the highest bidder over and over until it is completely worthless,, even then it will remain,,
#3 the emperor ? this is hypothetical as i dont think there will be a new constitution,,

Johnnybravo - Have you read the original constitution before? Can you please point where the "rich people" inserted their will into the constitution? That way we aren't just throwing around common buzz words. I am a sucker for history and facts.

i did think magna carta but couldnt decide if it had more of an effect on the history of the world, but it is about 500 years earlier,,
"influence" is subjective and legal documents rarely until recently have had anything to do with different(multiple) countries,, apart from like green said religious decrees,,
